I have included the isotopes, devices and activity levels for the devices requested for our license:

A. Americium-241, Troxler Model 3241 - C, 110mCi per source, 550mCi total

B. Californium-252, Troxler Model 3400, 66uCi per source, 330uCi total
C. Cesium-137, Troxler Model 3400, 9mCi per source, 27mCi total
D. Americium-241, Troxler Model 3400, 44mCi per source, 132mCi total
E. Cesium-137, Troxler model 4640, 9mCi per source, 9mCi total
F. Americium-241, Troxler Model 4640, 44mCi per source, 44mCi total

We currently possess the following devices:

Troxler Model 3241- C (3)
Troxler Model 3440 (2)

The only type of Troxler 3241 asphalt content gauge ever possessed by NLS Asphalt & Paving, on this
license no. 34-26487-02, is the 3241- C.

Hello Ed,

Thank you for taking time out of your day to discuss your pending license amendment request. As we
discussed, due to changes to our licensing process Items 6-9 on your license will now appear differently going
forward. Specifically, instead of allowing a blanket amount of material to be split between multiple types of
devices, each device manufacturer and model will now have their own limit. To facilitate this change please
provide the following information:
a. Isotope Requested

 b. Device Manufacturer
c. Device Model
d. Maximum activity for any single source.
e. Total activity requested for devices of this manufacturer and model.
f. For any of these devices if a specific sealed source is used please include the manufacturer and model
number.

For example, if you were to request to authorize two Troxler Electronic Laboratories Model 3400 Series gauges
I would at a minimum need to have the following information provided:
1. Cesium-137, Troxler Model 3400, 9 mCi per source, 18 mCi total
2. Americium-241, Troxler Model 3400, 44 mCi per source, 88 mCi total
