INTRODUCTION
Project Context

As time goes by, many industries such as hospitals, schools and business

experience more technological advancement and changes in way of improving to achieve

its goals. With the large number of people using technology, it becomes easier to do

different task for each department or aspects. It is referring to a new method, system, or

devices which are time consuming to format data. It’s easy to get relevant information at

anywhere, so that it is very important because it is used for almost everything.

Modern technology is simply an advancement of old technology. The impact of

technology in modern life is unmeasurable. People nowadays depends on the technology

we have. We use technology in different ways and sometimes the way we implement

various technologies do more damage than good. For example, mobile phone technology

has evolved from what it was in the year 2000 and continued to do. So today we use

smartphones which is merely an advanced version of an older mobile phone. Different

application and softwares are available to make our lives more efficient. As we can think

the modern technology was improving and continued increasing for many years because

of the men can manage the technology.

The technology contributes to the system to manage and to develop the improvement

of the College of Engineering and Computer Science (CECS) Department in JPLPC –

Malvar, Batangas. It is useful to determine the schedule of each Intructor and students.
Objectives of Study

The system focused mainly on accurate scheduling and decreasing the chances of

conflicting schedules in major exams and classes. Specifically, the designated system

aims to accomplish the following objectives:

1. To develop a system that will assist the administrator of CECS Department on

scheduling in major exams and classes.

2. To provide a module wherein the administrator can access and manage the system

with regards to;

2.1 To provide an account for the Instructor schedule.

2.2 Can view the specific sections and room of students.

2.3 To monitor students conflict schedule of examination and classes.

2.4 To easily manipulate schedule, features of add edit & delete.

3. Can print class and exam schedules by class, room and instructors

Scope and Limitations of the Study

The system can be accessed by the administrator and users of CECS Department.

The system developers that will implement the system will be focusing in scheduling of

instructors and the students, can add update account details, updating class and exam

schedule, organizing of subjects and rooms in a specific section for the students and

instructors. It is not accessible online but it can be a stand-alone system and only shows

the schedule per semester and per quarter of major exams.

 For the users, they can only view the exam schedules and their appropriate

class schedule of the day, only the administrator can update the examination and class

schedules for the said department, also the administrator must update the exam schedule

every quarter, changes on the system such as adding, editing, deleting of data cannot be

monitored by the proposed system. This system is not available on cellphone, tablet and

any android related.
