2.0 General : -
The ADR132A is member of Ashida Numerical Relay family (Aditya Series)
design to meet demand of low and medium switchgear control. The
ADR132A is basically 3-phase Under/Over Voltage protection with Definite
Time. The ADR132A continuously monitors all 3-phase voltage, through PT
connections. The high-speed micro-controller samples this voltage sine
wave through a 12-bit A/D converter. The micro-controller performs
powerful Digital Algorithms to find out Amplitude of voltage signal, and
then this value is use for protection and metering function. All
measurement is tuned to fundamental frequency and reject all higher
harmonics present in electric supply. Each phase voltage is also
displayed on 16 x 2 LCD display for metering. The Relay is having main
three functions 1) Protection 2) Self-Supervision 3) Measurement.
4.1 Self-supervision:-
The Relay is continuously keeping track on its internal hardware and its
movement if it detects any failure of any component, it gives message on
LCD display, This feature is very useful to give pre information to avoid any
mall - operation. In such situation it uses some default setting and remains
in protection mode.

No Legend Function
1. ON Power ‘ON’ Indicator LED.
2. PKP ‘PICKUP’ Indicator LED.
3. FAULT ‘FAULT’ Indicator LED (HR) Type.
4. TRIP ‘TRIP’ Indicator LED (SR) Type. Output element status
indicator of Trip coil or Spare coil.
5. MODE Push Button for MODE. To select setting parameter while
setting and to SAVE setting
6. INR Push Button to view the set parameters. &
To ‘Increment’ the value when the relay is in setting condition.
7. DEC Push Button to view the Fault Values. &
To ‘Decrement’ the value when the relay is in setting condition.
8. TEST Push Button for online TESTING.
9. BYPASS Push Button for BYPASSING TRIP command.
10. RESET Push Button for HARDWARE RESET of the relay.
11. LCD Display To observe setting and parameters of the relay
Push Buttons
The function of relay is controlled by the push buttons, MODE, INR, DEC, TEST,
BYPASS and RESET which are provided on the front Plate. The relay has a front
cover to keep it dust free.
At the time of setting if changes are not carried within 100s then the display will
refresh itself showing line voltages.

OV/UV Relay
When the PT Ratio is 1, the unit will show in terms of (V) Volts i.e.
P1 =000.0 P2 = 000.0
P3 =000.0 V
P1 =000.0 P2 = 000.0
P3 =000.0 KV

P3 =000.0 V
Now when the ‘MODE’ push button is pressed the following message is
displayed.
P a s sW o rd = 001
U s e I n r / D ec
11.1 Password :-
The INR push button is used to increment and the DEC push button is
used to decrement the value. By using this push buttons set the
Password to match the previously set password.
If any of the push button is press for more than 4 sec. the selected value
will start incrementing or decrementing with high speed. If INR push
button remains pressed then display value will roll between min. & max.
The min. is 0 and max. is 99. If DEC push button remains pressed then
display value will roll between max. & min. The max. is 99 and min. is 0.
For example if required value to be set is 25 then press INR push button
till you get reading 20, then releases the INR push button key and
increment one by one.
If the entered password matches with previously set password then we
are able enter to the other settings parameters. If not the following Error
message is shown on the display
P a s sW o rd F a il
P1 =000.0 P2 = 000.0
P3 =000.0 V
Note: -
In case authorized person forgets the set password, then press ‘MODE’ &
‘RESET’ pushbutton simultaneously & release ‘RESET’ pushbutton.
Relay will load default value, then release ‘MODE’ pushbutton. Password
will be Reset to ‘000’ and the other settings of the relays will change to
default values.
But if entered password matches with the previously set password, then
when the MODE’ push button is pressed again the following message will
be displayed.
P a s sW o rd = 00 0

11.9 PT Sec. : -
By using the INR push button or the DEC push button the desired PT
Sec. can be set 01 is 63.5V, 02 is 110V and 03 is 230V
Then when the ‘MODE’ push button is pressed again the following
message will be displayed.
P T Ra t io = 00 0 1
R a n ge 1 - 4 00 0
11.10 PT Ratio : -
By using the INR push button or the DEC push button the desired PT
Ratio can be set. The range will be from 1 to 4000 in steps of 1.
