BinHendi is a retail business that is based in UAE and owned by Mohi-Din BinHendi. The
BinHendi Enterprises runs retail outlets of fashion, luxury watches, cafes and eatery, jewellery
and other accessories. Other than that, the company also has furniture joint and a floral design
company under its name. Along with that, it also provides publishing and advertising services to
various brands and companies respectively. Being one of the most prominent names in the retail
business, BinHendi Enterprises has also ventured into real estate business as well. Given these
ventures, BinHendi Enterprises fall under the Product Structure, because of its vast and
diversified product services.

Q3: A Different Organization Structure Is Not Needed For BinHendi


Enterprise:
BinHendi Enterprise has expanded their business into various divisions branching out into
different products and services. The group operates under various subsidiaries and has launched
many consumer products of various international brands and franchises and continues to do so.
Hence the product structure is the most appropriate organization structure for BinHendi
Enterprises given their business and commercial activities and ventures. Company with go with
its existing organizational structure instead of designing a new one. A new structure means a
change, and change is always opposed by employees.

Q4: A Strong Presence of BinHendi Enterprises in the Region Means New


and Varied Business Opportunities:
The company seems to be making waves and earning more than considerable revenues and is
growing in terms of sales as well. Sales is always a fair means to tell about company’s success.
But the company also has a strong expansion strategy to span in the region and that means
exploring more business opportunities and such. Expansion strategy being strong is always a plus
to have core competency. So it goes without say that strong presence of company will allow it to
have new and varied business opportunities in different regions.

Q5: Role of Organization Structure:


It is an apt organization structure when chosen for any company. It details out the strategies and
plan of action that is needed to achieve the desired organizational goals for succeeding in the
long run. Due to a well-managed structure organizational long term survival is guaranteed. It is
equally important for achieving short term goal and drives organization to achieve competitive
advantage. It also assures employee’s wellbeing both in long run and short run.
