8- Abstract/Description - In our innovation we primarily aim to solve the severe problem of
waste management and its disposal .

We aim to solve the above problem by innovating a smart dustbin which would
automatically segregating the waste on the basis of their disposal methods at the time
of dumping into the dustbin .

In this dustbin when garbage is thrown into it , the garbage is automatically sensed into
wet ,dry and e-waste and then it is directed into the respective compartments inside the
dustbin itself .

It also detects the overflow of garbage and alerts the concerned person through a text
message along with GPS coordinates .

When the garbage is thrown into the dustbin it first rests on a platform where different
sensors are fitted which classifies the waste into the mentioned categories .

Technical Details –

We have made use of :

1.) Arduino-UNO

2.)Three Sensors namely

1- Capacitive sensor – to detect e-waste

2- Moisture sensor – to detect wet waste
3- Ultrasonic sensor – to detect overflow of waste
 3.) gps,gsm modules- to send text message along with gps coordinates.
