The holder of these degrees can use the title of Master of Science (MSc). This degree corresponds with level 7 of the
Flemish Qualifications Structure, as laid down in the Decree of 30 April 2009 concerning the Qualifications Structure, and
with level 7 of the European Qualifications Framework for Lifelong Learning. The holder of these degrees is also
authorised to bear the title of 'Burgerlijk ingenieur' (Dutch).
This is a joint academic training programme of Universiteit Gent (Ghent University, Belgium), Lunds universitet (Lund
University, Sweden) and The University of Edinburgh (United Kingdom).
The diploma is given and this programme is accredited in accordance with the Higher Education Code dated 11 October
2013, ratified by the Decree dated 20 December 2013. The joint awarding of the diploma and the degrees by the institutes
involved is made to take place in due compliance with articles II.172§2, II.172§3 en II.151 of said code. The holder of
these degrees has fulfilled the requirements for a Master of Science (120 credits)/Teknologie masterexamen, in accordance
with the Higher Education Ordinance (SFS 1993: 100) in Sweden. The conferment of the degree by the University of
Edinburgh Senatus Academicus is in line with the University Court Resolution No. 21/2012.
The curriculum of this programme amounts to 120 credits. The diploma and the diploma supplement are one and indivisible.
