Sun SNMP Management Agent for the Sun Fire, Sun Blade, Sun SPARC Enterprise, Netra,
Sun Netra and SPARC T3 systems is a management agent that supports management of
the platform hardware of supported systems, using the Simple Network Management
Protocol (SNMP). The agent supports SNMPv1, SNMPv2c and SNMPv3 to enable
interoperability with all common management applications.

The Management Agent provides monitoring of inventory, configuration, and

environmental and fault reporting.

Download any required patches from SunSolve according to your configuration.

Download the SNMP 1.6.2 software contained in the SNMP-1_6_2_u4-GA.tar.Z file

Checksum the downloaded file. You should receive these results:

Checksum: 3714381445 Checksum Type: CKSUM

Unzip the zip file and untar the tar file in the same directory.

Short Description:

Note: Version 1.6.2 requires Solaris OS 10 at a minimum. Solaris 11 is not

supported on this release.
If you are using an earlier version of Solaris OS, you must use Version 1.6 of this
software.

The Sun SNMP Management Agent enables access to system inventory and monitoring and
provides support for alarms, using the industry standard management protocol Simple
Network Management Protocol (SNMP).

SNMP 1.6.2 Update 4 adds support for:
