About Vacancy

Vacancy was the idea of a Hotel General Manager from Napa, California - Scott Curran.
When Advance Purchase reservations were introduced to the travel industry a couple of years back, guests were very
excited about booking these rooms at an additionally discounted price. They quickly became one of the most popular
bookings with most hotels.
While these rates are a fantastic value for customer looking to save on travel, if something were to come up, the guests
were stuck paying the entire value (all days) of the reservation, not just the first night as had been the standard before.
We all know things happen in life. A family member gets sick. Flights are cancelled due to weather. Your friend decides
at the last second not come on a trip The list goes on and on.
After many many conversations with disappointed customers the Napa General Manager concluded: there has to be
another way...
Now there is, Vacancy!
We have spent multiple years perfecting a system that will not only allow guests stuck with pre-paid reservations to
recoup their money but have automated the process.
Our website is very unique. We only work with hotels who have partnered directly with us. We will only list reservations on
our site that have been directly confirmed by the hotel staff. This ensures that there is zero chance of fraud.
