Assignment 1

In every organization, human beings are the most essential role to achieve its goals. Any
organization whatever it sells products or services needs human to operate its business
well. Thus, human resource management is fundamental to all managers in every
organization. Effective human resource management leads to develop the organization
to achieve its goal.

Human resource management is important to all managers because of playing many


essential roles in an organization. Therefore, all managers rely on the human resource
management not only to lessen the mistakes such as hiring the wrong person for the
job, high turnover rate, experiencing the lack of training, having the unfair and unethical
issue, other mistakes concerned with both employees and organization but also to
improve profits and performance. Human resource management is the management
function which includes resource planning and recruiting the employees, training,
motivating, appraising, and providing a safe and healthy working environment to get
more productivity and profit.

 Resource planning and recruiting: When we start the organization, recourses are
critical that must be available to meet both current and future business. Human
resource management assists managers to review the initial resource planning, job
posting, salary, and other recruiting processes. For our company which is the
project-based company, hiring and assigning necessary resources to accomplish the
project on time is critical to the managers. According to the project requirements,
managers need to find out the types of employees and select the right employees to
right position with the help of HRM to ensure that we get good results through
people.
 Training: Training is one of the effective ways to develop the knowledge and
improve the performance of the employees. In our company, employees need to
finish the mandatory training on company policies, products, processes every year
with the guidance of HRM. On the other hand, managers provide the other technical
or management training based on the employees’ professional or educational
background. So, it is important to the managers to provide the proper training which
really matches with employees’ requirements. Human resource management
supports both managers and employees to avoid the lack of training.
 Motivating and maintaining work environment: Motivation, encouragement and
engaging at work is the vital in a company to perform the best effort. Salary, bonus,
training program are included in the method of encouraging employees. Our
company also provides rewards and recognition for outstanding employees as a part
of encouragement. Moreover, there are also short-term incentives both individual
and team for the effort of the successful project. These HRM technique inspire both
employees and managers to build a healthy working environment.
 Performance management: All managers analyze and evaluate the performance of
the employees. Human resource management helps managers to provide the
accurate performance of each employee to be fairness concern. Performance
management is the other impressive way to communicate between employees and
managers.
 Providing the safe, fair and healthy working environment: The human resource
management also work to make sure an organization to be safe and fair
employment practices. Undesired behavior concerned with the employees,
managers and the people have a bad attitude can impact on the productivity and
efficiency of the organization. In this case, all managers need to collaborate with the
HR specialist who works to identify, investigate and resolve workplace issues.

In order to achieve the target of the organization, human resource manager performs
the main tasks and supports all managers by selecting the fit employee, providing
proper training and good working environment, encouraging and making a good
relationship between employees and managers. Therefore, human resource
management is not only concerned with HR but also the responsibility and functions of
every manager.
