1. INTRODUCTION: Acid circulation pump is a vertical submerged pump located on the acid
pump tank.

2. FUNCTION: To pump the Sulfuric acid solution from Acid Pump Tank to the three towers
and product acid stream.

3. Operation:

5. PERFORMANCE: For performance requirements, see data-sheets.

Scope of vendor will be mechanical design, fabrication and supply and documentation.
Vendor to provide detailed drawings with appropriate dimensions.

6. GENERAL DESIGN REQUIREMENTS

Type: Pump type shall be Vertical, Centrifugal Submerged type. It shall be complete with
motor coupling, coupling guard, base frame and foundation bolts.

Impeller: The impeller size shall be at least one size larger than the the minimum allowable
impeller size for the casing and at least one size smaller than the maximum impeller
size for the casing

Material of Construction: The vendor shall be responsible for selecting the proper materials
of constructions. The vendor shall give a detailed description of materials of
construction within the proposal.

Painting: Equipment shall be shop painted per manufacturer's standard epoxy prime and
finish system suitable for sulfuric acid plant service.

7 INSPECTION: Vendor shall furnish detailed QAP after order.

8 SHIPPING:
8.1 Adequate cribbing is the responsibility of Vendor, if found necessary.
8.2 Unit can be assembled in the shop/site.
8.3 Vendor will be responsible for transporting the equipment to the actual site
(Visakhapatnam).
