Introduction
Trece Martires City. A town where once thrived with grass and crops. But now, one of the
most industrialized and progressive towns in Cavite. The capitol of Cavite, and a continuously
growing economy stronghold in the province of patriots.
And this city, is the place where we (the researchers) live. This is our town. And we
envision to be part of a very established country — a country that is progressive and has a heart.
A country that can be proud of itself, thriving on its own and becoming world-class. An
embodiment of the Ambisyon 2040.
But before moving on how Trece Martires, or should we say, the local government of
Trece Martires, will pursue and achieve the Ambisyon 2040 as a city, let’s define first what is this
program. Ambisyon 2040 is a program launched by the Philippine government back in 2017, as a
long-term project that will help the country as a whole to become a more established and more
self-reliant country, capable of a heart and sympathy with each and every one of its citizens. This
program pushes the local government to pursue the three pillars of Ambisyon 2040. The three
pillars on what the program envisions every Filipino city to have: Malasakit, Pagbabago and
Kaunlaran. These three pillars, as the program has stated is all what the Philippines needs in order
to be a world-class country, envisioning a stable, comfortable, and tranquil life for every Filipino
citizen.
Thus, the local government of Trece Martires has taken its own steps in order to ensure
that we Treceños, will be part of the successful citizens that is envisioned by this program. They
have started to create projects that are more of how they would improve first, the economy of
the municipality.
On the next part of this paper, we will be discussing on what steps the LGUs of Trece
Martires have done in order to achieve the Ambisyon 2040.

Conclusion
With all of that said and done, Trece Martires is still way far from what is the vision of
Ambisyon 2040. All of us are still way far from that. It will surely take years before even one can
achieve that kind of state.
To add more, as a citizen of the city, the local government’s projects lacks the “feel”.
Honestly, we can say that the city government still needs to improve their ‘arsenal’ of projects
and should be more focused on the wellness and betterment of the citizen’s first rather than its
economy.
 But we can say, from the projects initiated by the Local Government of Trece Martires are
working more towards the economy of the city. And just the economy.
Which is a good thing, because it has opened up a lot of opportunities for everyone,
especially those who have difficulty getting jobs outside of the city. To add to this, was the
establishment of the SM City Trece Martires, making a large boom in the economy of the city.
However, with that said, we believe that true progress is still slow in this city. We have
yet to see the scene where Trece Martires will be part of the Ambisyon 2040. The local
government still lacks something.
But, it only has been two years, and the elections are still around the corner, we will see
whether there will be true change and true progress in this city. Then, we can say that Trece
Martires will be a part of a stable, comfortable and tranquil country.
