It was November 28,2017 when the Notre Dame of Marbel High School Boys and Girls
wanted to have an outreach but doesn’t have an area or beneficiaries. Their batch president
Mr. Darwin Dar asked our chapter if we could help them in their annual outreach program
every December since they are almost out of time to plan for everything.

That is where we (PDA-SCC) suggested that the batch96 could help us in our adopt a
school program. They agreed to join our project in Sitio Pedregosa, Brgy. Rizal pob., Banga,
South Cotabato. The annex daycare with 20 pupils included in our Adopt a School Program was
given their 2nd oral check up and 2nd fluoride treatment. Their first treatment was given during
the launching of our twinning program at the Barangay Gymnasium. Kap. Pedro Bolivar was
kind enough to lend his barangay service vehicle for the children.

The day of the outreach. 100 gift packs were given to 100 households of Sitio Pedregosa,
Brgy. Rizal, Banga, South Cotabato, as pamaskong handog of batch 96 of Notre Dame of Marbel
Boys and Girls.

The dental bus was once again borrowed from the Provicial Hospital of South Cotabato.
Together with my collegues, Dr. Mary Grace Petalino, Dr. Michelle Lao and yours truly, we were
the workforce of PDA and also members of batch 96 Notre Dame HS. Fluoride application to the
20 pupils of Daycare center plus 8 toddlers who were not yet going to school. Out of 55 adults
who have consultations and health screened (BP and medical history taking only- done by batch
nurses) only 43 adults had an extraction procedure.

low population. With only 20 pupils.

Board Member Larry boy De Pedro VI, who is also our batchmate, was also present and
promised to improve the Sitio’s stage and windows of the classroom. He also promised to
donate a suitable kitchen at the back of the daycare center. We only hope that this promises
will be done as soon as possible.

We visited our adopted day care school (main), we had a toothbrushing and oral health
lecture to the pupils and had our fluoride treatment to them. We were at amazed how
presentable and conducive to learning their classroom became, as compared to what it looks
like during our launch. Big thanks to our twinning partner in infrastructure, the AD Villanueva
builders.
