Rules of Thumb:
Original spells will have their levels divided by 3 to better compress 4e’s 30 level spell array to
5e’s 0-9th level array.
Spells will be listed by level, with viable class listed as part of the spell description
Swordmage spells will be made available to both Warlocks and Wizards, as between the
Bladesinger Tradition and the Pact of the Blade, they are best suited for using such magics.
Some spells may be given dual classes and/or schools, if they look like they could work for
either style.

You create a baleful star above a foe, which bathes them in excruciating starlight that only
grows more intense if they come closer. Make a ranged spell attack. On a hit, the target takes
1D8 Radiant Damage.
This spell's damage increases by 1D8 at levels 5 (2D8), 11 (3D8) and 17 (4D8).
If the target moves closer to the caster before the beginning of the caster’s next turn, the caster
may use their reaction to make another spell attack with the star.

A taloned claw of sweltering, sulfurous darkness latches onto a target you designate, mauling
them viciously before dissipating. Make a ranged spell attack. On a hit, the target takes 2D8
damage.
If the target is Large or smaller in size, it must make a Strength check with a DC increase equal
to the damage rolled; if the target fails, it is pushed 15 feet in a direction the caster chooses.
Damage inflicted by this spell is considered both Force and Fire for Resistances, Vulnerabilities
and Immunities.
At Higher Levels: When casting this spell with a spellslot of 2nd level or higher, increase the
damage by +1D8 per level of the spellslot used.

At Higher Levels: When casting this spell with a spellslot of 2nd level or higher, increase the
damage by +1D10 per level of the spellslot used.

You ensnare a foe's heart with a ribbon of twisting darkness, allowing you to feed on their
strength. Make a ranged spell attack. On a hit, the target takes 2D6 Necrotic damage and the
caster gains 5 temporary hit points.
If sustained, the target can make a Constitution save at the start of each of its turns to break
free of this spell. If it fails, it takes another 2D6 Necrotic damage and the caster gains another 5
temporary hit points, which stack with other temporary hitpoints gained from this spell.
At Higher Levels: When casting this spell with a spellslot of 2nd level or higher, increase the
damage by +1D6 and the temporary hit points gained by +5 per level of the spellslot used.
Witchfire

Disadvantage on all attacks it makes until the end of your next turn.
Damage inflicted by this spell is considered to be both Fire and Psychic for Resistances,
Immunities and Vulnerabilities.
At Higher Levels: When casting this spell with a spellslot of 2nd level or higher, increase the
damage by +1D6 per level of the spellslot used.
