Interview with The Wright Brothers

In 1905, there was a TV talk show that interview great inventors at the same time. Below is
the a script of interview with The Wright brothers.

Host : Hello and welcome to our talk show tonight, Great Inventors. Today we have
very special guests, Orville and Wilbur Wright. We are going to ask them about their
revolutionary inventions. What do you call your invention?

Orville : We invented airplane.

Host : Airplane? What is the tool for?

Orville : It is a tool that will help human being to fly!

Host : Oohhh, is it like a flying car? How did you get the inspiration?

Orville : Our dad gave us a toy helicopter that flew with the help of rubber bands. We
have been interested in the idea since then.

Wilbur : Orville has always liked to build kites, so we have experimented with making
our own helicopters for a while now.

Host : But that was only a toy, what about the actual plane?

Orville : Orville made the first flight with our first plane at Kitty Hawk on December
14, 1903

Host : Why did you choose Kitty Hawk?

Orville : Kitty Hawk had a hill, good brezzes and was sandy. The condition would
help soften the landings in case of a crash. The first flight lasted 12 seconds and they flew for
120 feet.

Wilbur : We have worked and experimented with gliders to perfect the wings design
and controls since then.

Host : I see. So you have had the newest design version of your airplane?

Wilbur : Yes. Recently, I took a newly designed airplane that we called the Flyer II for
the first flight lasting over 5 minutes.

Host : How amazing! I think this invention will be a big thing soon.

Wilbur : Our father has asked us not to fly together. He said it’s for the safety reason.

Orville : Yes, we will continue making more experiment so that airplane will be
available for everyone soon.
Host : Okay, we wish you good luck with the next experiments.

Perfect Tense! One of you will be the interviewer. Another will be the interviewee. The
interviewee will pretend to be an inventor, popular people like actreese, Actreese, or athlete.
Answer :

Interviewer : Thank you for taking some time off from your busy schedule to answer a few
questions about your life!

Actreese : It’s my pleasure.

Interviewer : Could you tell us about an average day in your life?

Actreese : Sure, I wake up at 7 in the morning. Then I had breakfast. Usually after
breakfast I went to my agency to discuss my shooting schedule.

Interviewer : Are you studying film scripts now ?

Actreese : Yes, I’m studying script for my new film called “Beautiful Polaris”

Interviewer : What genre ?

Actreese : The genre of the film is romance-fantasy.

Interviewer : Are you the main character ?

Actreese : Yes. I became the female lead.

Interviewer : Do you have a shooting schedule today for the film ?

Actreese : For today I don’t have a film shooting schedule. But, yesterday I had a
shooting schedule for this film. Me and the other actors and actresses did some scenes
yesterday.

Interviewer : After shooting, did you do another activity yesterday?

Actreese : After shooting I visited my parent’s house to have dinner together. Because I
live separately from my parents, I have lived in an apartement. So if I have free time, I will
take the time to visit my parent’s house.

Interviewer : Let’s talk about your career. How many films have you made ?

Actreese : That’s a hard question. I think I’ve made more than 40 films.

Interviewer : Wow. That’s a lot! How many years have you been an Actreese ?

Actreese : I’ve been an Actreese since I was ten years old. In other words, I’ve been an
Actreese for twenty years.

Interviewer : That’s impressive. Do you have any future projects?

Actreese : Yes, I do. I’m going to focus on making a few documentaries next year.

Interviewer : That sounds great. Do you have any plans beyond that ?
Actreese : Well, I’m not sure. Maybe I will become a film director, and maybe I’ll just
retire.

Interviewer : Oh, please don’t retire! We love your films!

Actreese : That’s very kind of you. I’m sure I’ll make a few more films.

Interviewer : That’s good to hear. Thank you for the interview.

Actreese : Thank you.
