1. SCOPE OF WORK:
The object of this Method statement is to lay down the systematic procedure and technical
specifications for loading platform works.
2. PURPOSE:
To define sequence of activities and material shifting procedure for Blockwork and plaster
activities.

3. REFERENCE DOCUMENT:
Following documents in totality or in part should form the reference documents:
BOQ documents/Technical Specifications/GFC Drawings (Approved scheme)/GGHPL SOP

4. TOOLS & EQUIPMENTS :

Welding machine, Spirit level, Water level, Measuring tape, Line dori, Plumb bob, brush

5. Materials
The materials are as mentioned below.
1 ISMC,NB40 pipes, Props, anchor fasteners, Scaffolding material (Such as vertical cuplock,
ledger etc), Gas cutting set, walkway platform

6. Preparation:

1. 6m length ISMC 100X50 two nos are joined together with welding works to form a
box.

2. Fabricated box of 6m length will be placed with 10mm thick plates (welded with the
all sides) and fixed with anchor fasteners and bracings with the welding to these
boxes will be done as per the scheme for the platform areas.

3. Interlocking supports (Props/scaffolding material) till slab bottom will be provided.

4. Covered and perforated Walkway jail will be fixed on the prepared platform and
railing work will be completed.
5. Safety net will be provided to the vertical sides of the platform and underneath of
the platform.
6. Inspection of the platform will be done and furthermore TPI of the same will be
done.
7. After TPI work the platform will be ready to use for shifting of the materials with the
help of tower crane.

7. Removal of the platform:

1. Safety net will be removed from the platform.
2. Railing work will be removed from the platform.
3. Walkway platforms will be removed from the platform.
4. Bracings dismantling will be done (walkway jail to be used for removal work).
5. Interlocking supports will be removed.
6. Welding & anchor fasteners will be removed and 6m length box will be taken inside
of the building.
8. Safety Precaution: -
1. Proper manual handling technique to be used.
2. 3. Proper job specific PPE should be used.
4. Safe method should be used while block & other building materials shifting.
5. Proper certified loading platform must be provided, in case shifting of block done by
tower crane.
