Technical Comments:
Contractor is proposing Hot Water Storage Tanks (Noncirculating Storage Domestic Water Heat Exchangers) from the manufacturer LACAZE ENERGIES SAS - FRANCE, through the
local supplier M/s. FJ Trading & Engineering Co W.L.L. - Qatar.

Approval for the proposed manufacturer LACAZE ENERGIES SAS - FRANCE via PVL
Change Request ref. CPC07d-PVL-PLM-0014 R1 is noted, as well as the
1 prequalification approval for M/s. FJ Trading & Engineering Co W.L.L. as per the
Noted
attached PQ approval document.

With reference to the proposed Equipment Schedule/Selection, it is noted that the
heating coils capacity (kW) of the proposed models are not matching with the kW
2 mentioned in the product catalogue table. The Contractor shall justify the selection with
additional information and calculations to prove that the specified heating coil
capacities are achieved.
The Proposed U-Tube Batteries are custom made for the specific Project
Primary/Secondary Water Entering/Leaving Temperatures and to meet the
exact required KW duty. The Product Catalogue lists the data for the Standard
Products only. Kindly refer to the Manufacturer's Confirmation of the Selected
Heaters and their confirmed KW duty.

The Proposed U-Tube Batteries are custom made for the specific Project
Also, it is noted that the 'primary heater' temperatures as mentioned in the product
Primary/Secondary Water Entering/Leaving Temperatures and to meet the
catalogue are not matching with the Boiler supply/return temperature as per design.
3 Contractor shall provide compliance to project requirements with supporting
exact required KW duty. The Product Catalogue lists the data for the Standard
Products only. Kindly refer to the Manufacturer's Confirmation of the Selected
calculations.

With reference to Project Specification Section 19, Part 5, Clause 5.2.3.3 Storage
Tank Construction, the Contractor's compliance is noted, however, certificate of
4 conformity to the equivalent DIN/European standard shall be provided along with
comparison of standard with the specified ASME code.

For the same clause as mentioned above, the Contractor shall comply with 125 psig
5 (860 kPa) working pressure rating, as per the attached catalogue showing availability
of 8.6 bar working pressure models.

WRASapproval for the 'RC' lining is noted and acceptable, however, comparison study
6 shall be provided between glass lining and the proposed 'RC' lining.
 No details are provided for the proposed equivalent DIN Safety Relief Valve.
Combination Temperature and Pressure Relief valves (ASME rated & stamped) shall
7 be provided with sensing element extending into storage tank, as per Project
Specification Section 19, Part 5, Clause5.2.3.6.

All required tank accessoriesas indicated on the attached catalogue (as applicable to
8 the system) and as recommended by the manufacturer shall be delivered along with
the tanks.

Contractor shall ensure that the tank loads are coordinated with Structural and confirm
9 space availability with ease of maintenance access.
