 tnstructions for Vocational Bovs Private One Year / Two Year Courses

1. Eliqibilitv:
Vocationat Courses examination as Private Candidate shall be open to following.

a. Apprentices.
b. Tradesmen working as employees in industrial or Trade establishment.
c. Self-employed tradesmen.

2. Qualification:

(a) One Year Vocational Courses

Middle Pass

(b) Two Years Vocational Gourses

i) Must have passed Secondary School Certificate examination with science and
q drawing or any other examination recognized as equivalent there to for the
courses of Mechanical and Civil Draftsman.
ii) Middle pass for all other courses.

3. For Private Candidates:

i) Himself or whose guardian is permanent resident within the territorial limits of

the Board and produces a certificate to that effect by any Gazzetted Officer
not below the rank of NPS 17 or the Head of an Institute recognized by the
Board or a Member of the Board.
ii) Produces the following certificates signed by the;

1. Director, Labor Welfare, Punjab in case of apprentices; and

2. Head of an Institute recognized by the Board or by any Gazzetted
Officer not below the rank of NPS-17 or a Member of the Board in case
of candidates of categories. (b) and (c) of rule 1.
1. Of good character.
2. Of having possessed the qualification as laid down in rule 2'
3. Of not nJving been on the rolls of any recognized institute during the
year preceding the examination.
4. bf naving undlrgone practical training of at least 1000 contact hours in
a year oiexperience as skilled worker in the relevant field'

A private candidate from outside the jurisdiction of the Board is allowed to

appear in the Board's examination provided he has been a resident within the
jurisdiction of the Board for at least nine months at the time of submission of his
hdmission form. (An affidavit to this effect duly attested by the authority
competent to Matiiculates only a transfer certificate from the Board of this
domicile should be produced and attached with his Admission Form'

Surveyor, Auto Electrician, Welding, Plumber.

Refrigeration a nir condition, Electrician, civil Draftsman,

Mech.-anical Draftsman, Machinist, General Fitter, Auto Diesel
Mechanic.
