One element of the structure of the bridge is a Pile cap and column is the construction of the
merge between the pillars of the stake so that it becomes the pillar of the Group (pile group)
and the liaison between powerboats with columns. Pile cap and this column aims to let the
location column really is the central emphasis of the Foundation so that it does not cause the
eccentricity that can cause an extra load on the Foundation. In addition, as the head of the
column, pile cap can also style to arrest the slide of the imposition. the shape of the pile cap
also varies with the shape of a triangle and a rectangle. The number of columns that are
bound to each pile cap differ depending upon the needs of any load that will be received.
Construction of Pile Cap and the column itself has a lot of stage work stages in order to
produce a structure element in accordance with the work plan and terms (RKS). Based on the
description, then this final project will investigate more about the method of implementation
of the work pile cap and column on the abutment bungarus fasciatus on the toll road project
Gempol-Pasuruan toll road Section II Rembang-Pasuruan.

The purpose of this field of study are: (1) find out the method of abutment pile cap
work on a bridge on the river bungarus fasciatus (STA 17 + 670) on site construction project
of Gempol – Pasuruan toll road Section II; (2) know the methods of work of the abutment
column on the bridge on the river bungarus fasciatus (STA 17 + 670) on site construction
project of Gempol – Pasuruan toll road Section II.

The results of the field study mentioning that: (1) sequence of abutment pile cap work
methods on the bridge on the river bungarus fasciatus (STA 17 + 670) on site construction
project of Gempol – Pasuruan toll road Section II are as follows: job preparation, job surveys
field retting, job, job pembesian, job, construction formwork installation, casting work; (2)
the order of the columns work method abutment on bridge on the river bungarus fasciatus
(STA 17 + 670) on site construction project of Gempol – Pasuruan toll road Section II are as
follows: job preparation, employment, work, excavations and field survey, job construction,
job pembesian, job, casting formwork installation so that it is in compliance and adhere to
standard procedures (SOP) Operations.
