1． Course content:
In this class you will learn an overview about American history, government, politics, culture,
diversity, values and lifestyles through participation in readings, listening activities, watching
videos, small group discussions and presentations. This class is student focused and requires
active participation and input from students.

2． Course objectives: At the end of this class students will be able to -

- Think critically and communicate your ideas about course topics via discussions, writing and
presentations.
- Research and learn about special topics, which are of interest to you.
- Improve academic study skills and apply these to other courses.
