l) Work breakdown structure: a key project deliverable that organizes the team
work into manageable sections. It is like deliverable oriented hierarchical
decomposition of the work to be executed by the project team. The process must
clearly identify each task and include and estimated duration task or activity in any
work that has beginning and an end and require the use of company resources.
Predecessor task: Conception of task predecessor based upon the fact that
usually there are some tasks in a project plan, which cannot be started or finished until
certain previous tasks are completed.
Dependent task: In project the relationship between two tasks is known as a task
dependency or task link. Dependency task will help in make decision in project
management. Dependent task means when the task must be completed before one of
another task begin. This task call dependent because the task is one depends on yhe
others.
Multiple successor task: Predecessor and successor are two types of dependent
task that belong to one and the same projector process. When several task can start at
the same time each is call concurrent task. Often two or more concurrent tasks depend
on a single prior task, which is called a predecessor task. In this situation, each
concurrent task is called successor task.
Critical path: a series of tasks which, if delayed would affect the completion
date of the overall project. If any task on the critical path falls behind schedule, the
entire project will be delayed. Project manager always must be aware of the critical
path, so they can respond quickly to keep the project on task.
Slack time: In project management slack time or called as float time is the
amount of time that a task in a project network can be delayed without causing a delay
to subsequent tasks and completion of the project.

If the duration selected task above delayed by 3 days the total duration
for the task will increase by 1 day from 21 days to 22 days. Even
though the task not under critical path but its delayed effect the task.
If the duration selected task above have take 2 day longer the duration
for the all task will remain same 21 days. This is because the task not
under critical path. The task still can be run if the previous task be
delayed or take longer time. The task not be effect the all duration of
the project.
