Technology plays an important role in our daily life. It affects in every aspects in our life,
especially when it comes to efficiency. Technology makes almost everything easier. With high
usage of technology in daily life, brings on the needs to upgrade the technology rapidly. One of
technologies that are growing rapidly is smartphone. In 2017 smartphone user were at 2.32
billion. The growths in smartphone industries give an opportunity for all telecom sub-sectors. In
the bigger picture, it means mobile industries are growing massively.

Presently, growths in mobile industry are happening massively. The importance of

internet in everyday life, impacts on some aspects in mobile industry to develop. Soon we can do
pretty much everything with internet. It’s called Internet of Things (IoT). It is a concept of
basically connecting any device with an on and off switch to the Internet (and/or to each other).
This includes everything from cellphones, coffee makers, washing machines, headphones, lamps,
wearable devices, autonomous vehicle and almost anything else you can think of. To achieve the
IoT an improvement on network aspect will be needed because 4G won’t be capable to run the
IoT. An upgrade of connectivity infrastructures to achieve the IoT such as improvement to 5G
will be needed as soon as possible to match the needs.

On the other aspects, the rapid rise in the use of smartphones and other connected mobile
devices has triggered a spurt in the volume of data flowing through the networks of telecom
operators. It is necessary that the operators process, store, and extract insights from the available
data. Big Data analytics can help them increase profitability by helping optimize network usage
and services, enhance customer experience, and improve security. Companies can predict peak
network usage to relieve congestions with Big Data analytics. To support an upgrade to 5G and
Big Data analytic development, telecom plays an important roles.

By reason of these rapid changes digital environment emerge challenges for enterprises in
all sectors. On this digital environment, effectivity and efficiency are two of the main things that
need to be improved massively. Just imagine, statistics show as of 2012 about 2.5 exabytes of
data is created each day. With current technology it will take time to handle such enormous data.
That’s why big data analytics will be needed, and also network improvement to 5G to support all
of the automatic system will play an important role in present and future era. Enterprises must
have realized that they can’t rely on manual process anymore. They need to improve their
infrastructures to keep them up to date. Areas with the greatest potential for improvement in
enterprises such as customer care, billing and sales.
