Check if the vent hole in the filling screw is open!

1 Maintenance of the gear

1.1 Maintenance
The gear is largely maintenance-free. Ex works, the gear box is filled with lubrication oil and ready for
use. Check the oil level by carefully loosening the oil outlet screw; oil should leak immediately.
See Table 1 for the oil and lubricant filling quantities. A thin film of grease may occur on the shaft and
ventilation valve during initial operation; this is quite normal.


Important
The geared motor is installed on. Make sure the self-ventilation
works perfectly, i.e. cooling air inlets and outlets must be
unhindered.

Maintenance and repair is only allowed by qualified stuff.

1.2 Oil filling

Open the oil filling serum, fill slowly in the adequate lubricating oil until overflow. After close the fitting
screw.
The lubricant must be changed after about 10,000 operating hours or three years latest. Open and
clean the gear and check all parts subject to wear; replace the shaft sealing rings as a precaution.
Clean all sealing flanges before re-assembling and re-seal with a plastic sealant (Dirko). Fill with
lubricant as per Table 1.

Do not touch the rotating pump shaft in the stuffing box area as
this may cause serious injury to the fingers.

Important
Never mix mineral and synthetic oils.

operating hours.

Never mix synthetic and mineral oils.

5 Maintenance of the electric motor

5.1 Maintenance
The motor is maintenance free. All bearings are filled with lubricant.


Important
Pay attention to the perfect self air cooling, inlet and outlet of the
cooling air must be unhindered.

5.2 Motor bearings

The motor bearings have to be changed usually after 20.000 working hours.

Maintenance and repair is only allowed by qualified staff.
