ABSTRAK
The government’s plan to improve railroad safety transportation has led to a permanent timetable for
railroad crossing including the Lempuyangan cross. Therefore, traffic research is needed to determine the
perfomance of the road around the crossing of the subject. It can be seen the service level of the road and
provide modeling after selecting the Lempuyangan railroad crossing. This research was conducted by direct
field survey method to meet the primary data, namely, vehicle speed, traffic time and traffic signal. The
analysis in this study includes an analysis of the service level of the Dr. Sutomo flyover, and the lower path of
the flyover. In the analysis of the level of service of the road using the 1997 Indonesia Road Capacity
Manual, it will also be necessary to use the VISSIM modeling application to model the existing conditions
and post railroad closure. The result of this study found that the degree of saturation on all road segments at
the flyover lower crossing experienced an increasing trend which mean improved performance of road except
on Dr. Sutomo Flyover road segment. As for the speed value, the increasing trends is in the Jl. Lempuyangan
and Jl. Argolubang. But there was a decrease in the section Jl. Dr. Sutomo and Jl. Flyover Dr. Sutomo. In
addition, Jl. Wahidin Sosrohusodo did not experienced difference because there are no vehicles passing due
to the closing of the railway cross.
