USER’S MANUAL
Thank you for purchasing PLX102 Mobile X-ray Camera. Please read this User’s Manual carefully before
operating the unit to ensure proper use.
1. General Description
1.1 Purpose
The unit, which is anti-electroshock, radiation-proof with fixed anode and full wave commutation, is a
knock-down mobile x-ray camera. It can be applied with either wireless control or panel control after being
easily and conveniently placed into sickroom, operating room or other places, which is not only convenient
for the patients, but also beneficial to medical personnel for not being subjected to unnecessary radiation.
The unit is a product provided by our company with high quality and low price.
Characteristics: The unit, with features of easy control, reliable function and beautiful figuration, completely
meets the requirements for x-raying the skull, chest and extremities.
1.2 Standards
The design and manufacture of the unit complies with the following standards:
GB9706.1-1995 Medical Electric Device, Part 1: General safety requirements;

The range of the distance between focus and boby: 500~1800 (mm)
Distance between focus and Body is adjustable. The value reflected by pulling the focus-skin distance meter
(2M) to the body is used to indicate the distance between the focus and body.
Rock the generator to make a distance of 1 meter between the focus and body, then the x-ray field after
getting through the beam applicator is 340 * 340mm. Adjust the handwheel of the beam applicator, it will
form random rectangles with areas not larger than 340*340mm. The longer the distance it is between the
focus and body, the larger the x-ray area is formed. When taking normal radiography, keep a longer distance
between the focus of x-ray tube and the body of the patient, and meanwhile, move the patient as close as
possible to the film.

5.3 Assembly and Disassembly
Generally speaking, the position of beam applicator is as shown in Graph 7 when leaving factory. If the
applicator needs to be disassembled, please firstly unscrew the plug for beam applicator from the socket
(refer to Graph 14); secondly, turn the locking screw (refer to Graph 7) counter-clockwise to take off the X-ray
module from the outer window.

For assembly, apply the reverse sequence.

5.6 Operation Methods
The beam applicator is used to adjust the size of X-ray field, and its maximum X-ray field is in the direct ratio
to the focus-film distance, its minimum X-ray field is not more than 5 x 5 m², and you can get the required
X-ray field through turning the front-back and left-right adjusting knob. When the film distance is 1.0M, the
max. X-ray field can reach 340 x 340 mm². Note: In order to protect the patients and doctors, when taking
radiography, the focus-skin distance should be longer, and the body should be as close to the film as
Before taking photos, the size of the X-ray field is adjusted and indicated by the light radiation field of
the collimator lamp. When operating the unit, press down the collimator lamp switch (refer to Figure 9), and
the lamp will light on and go out 35 seconds later; during this period, turn the front-back and left-right knob to
get the required X-ray field, which is the same size when take photos. If the lamp is off while the required
The additional filters to the beam applicator (Refer to Figure7), is used to filter the weak X-ray. There are 2
pieces, one is1mmAl, and the other is 2mmAl. When the image on the film is not clear enough, you can add
the filters of different thickness accordingly, which depends on the photographing parameters, patients’

7.1.3 Adjustment of Generator Balance
After the machine is used for a long period of time, if the generator might not keep balance anymore, i.e.
either upward movement or downward movement appears, you can unscrew the 4M3 bolts in at the upper
side of machine and take away the rear board. Then screw the nut for fine-tuning (a direction adjusting
mechanism). You can solve the problem of downward movement by screwing the nut clockwise and upward
movement by screwing the nut counterclockwise. Adjust the nut to achieve generator balance.
7.1.4 The Movement Range of the Generator (refer to Graph 12)

a) The upward and downward movements range of the rocker: Lowest position: ≯500, highest position: ≮
1750. Tighten the handwheel to fix it at certain position.
b) Release the locking handle, the generator can rotate around the rocker at an range of ±90°.
c) Release the locking screw counterclockwise, the generator can rotate around the axis at an range of ±
180°.

7.3 Adjusting
1.3. 1 Test for the Controller
After the installation and adjustment of the mechanical parts and x-ray generator, connect mains supply
cable and manual control Switch connection.
(1) Press Power ON button and V/kV alternative indication button to make the power supply voltage display
on the voltage meter.
(2) Adjust V knob (mains voltage adjustment knob) to make the needle of voltage meter position on ▽.
Press V/kV alternative indication button to make the voltage meter display the value of kV and adjust kV
adjustment knob to make the needle indicate 50~90 kV.
(3) Turn the S knob (exposure time selection knob) to select a proper time and mA adjustment knob to select
15, 30 or 50 mA, at this point, press down the remote Switch when the manual/remote control knob is on the
remote control position, the exposure indicator lamp (yellow) will blink. Similarly, press the manual control
Switch when the manual/remote control knob is on the manual control position, the exposure indicator lamp
(yellow) will blink and the buzzer will sound.
At last, adjust kV adjustment knob to the minimum and mA adjustment knob to 15mA, and then cut off mains
supply.
7.4.1 check the Controller and X-ray generator
(1) Connect the X-ray generator wire to the Controller (bigger pentagonal core). Turn on power supply to
check whether the filament in the X-ray generator lights on.
Disconnect mains supply. Set in the beam applicator and its connection wire, and then close the lead shutter.
NOTE: Take care of x-ray protection.
7.4.2 First Operation (refer to Graph 10)
Before operate the machine for its first time or re-operate after leaving unused for more than 3 months, Test
is needed to disperse the possible air in the X-ray tube.
NOTE: 1. Adjust knobs of beam applicator to make the lead shutter to the minimum before testing, and take
note of x-ray protection.
2. DO NOT adjust V (mains voltage adjustment knob), kV (tube voltage adjustment knob) knobs
when undertaking a TEST.
3. If any unusual noise from the X-ray generator is noticed, disconnect power supply immediately
and ask specialists to check.
The procedures are as followed:
(1) Turn the “TEST/ RAD” selection knob to TEST, and “S” knob (Exposure Time Selection knob) to 6.3
seconds.

(2) Turn kV Adjust knob to 50kV and press down the panel switch to expose;
(3) Gradually increase kV grade by grade, with each grade increasing by 5kV, and expose;
(4) Increase to 90 kV and expose; If the tube current appears to be unstable when having an exposure,
decrease tube voltage to have the exposure again until tube current appears to be stable; and under this
condition, have the exposure several times in succession to ensure tube current has been stabilized, and
then repeat step (3) and (4);
(5) Turn the “TEST/ RAD” selection knob to RAD, and have the exposure under a load factor of 50kV, 15mA,
0.1s~0.5s;
(6) Gradually increase tube voltage grade by grade, with each grade increasing by 5 kV and have the
exposures at an interval of more than 1 minute;
(7) Increase to 90 kV and expose;
(8) When increasing to 90 KV and having the exposure for 2 times, the testing ends if everything is in good
condition. If any unusual noise is noticed during testing, decrease kV to perform the test again; if the
noise still exists, disconnect power supply immediately and ask specialists to check. DO NOT turn on
power supply until the trouble has been eliminated.
CAUTION: 1. DO NOT adjust V (mains voltage adjustment knob), kV (tube voltage
adjustment knob) and Mv knobs when undertaking a TEST. 7.4 Trial
Operation
8. Operation
8.1 Machine Ready
Before moving the unit, make sure the unit is in the self-locking state, in which the rocker should be at the
lowest position (Refer to Graph 1). And then, carefully move it to the location where radiography is needed,
and fix it at that location by stepping down the pedal brake. (NOTE: If the road surface is rough or there is
doorsill or elevator in the way when moving the unit, step down the pedal brake fully to uplift the front wheel
so as to cross these barriers successfully.)
Slightly press down the X-ray generator and pull the chromium-plated handle up, then lift the generator to a
certain height. A reminder is that, the chromium-plate handle is a safety device, and you cannot move the
generator if you do not pull up the handle.

8.2 Power On
(1) Set in mains supply wire and the ground connection (olive-green wire).
(2) Adjust the rocker to fix the x-ray generator on proper position, and put in the cassette with x-ray film
under the part to be radio graphed of the patient.
(3) Connect power supply, press V/kV alternative display button to make voltage meter display V value, and
adjust V knob to make power supply voltage indicate on▽.
8.3 Set Parameters
(1) Select proper kV, mA, and S value on the basis of clinical condition.
(2) Adjust the beam applicator: Press down Timer Switch to turn on the collimator lamp, and adjust the
Front-back & Left-right adjust knob to gain proper x-ray field based on the size of film.
8.4 Expose by Manual Control
(1) Turn the Test/Rad selection knob to Rad.
(2) Press the Manual/Remote selection knob to Manual.
(3) Press down the Manual control switch to expose.
(4) Disconnect mains supply after exposure finished.
8.5 Expose by Remote Control
(1) Turn the Test/Rad selection knob to Rad.
(2) Press the Manual/Remote selection knob to remote.
(3) Choose a proper place with the remote control at hand (at any place within 2 ~ 10 meters far from the
machine without any metal substances in the way).
(4) Press down the remote control switch to expose.
(5) Disconnect mains supply after exposure finished.
NOTE:
(1) Keep a distance of about 2 ~10m from the machine when applying remote control. Release the remote
Switch (or manual control Switch) button if the radiograph has to be stopped in midstream.
(2) The interval between subsequent exposures: 5 ~ 10 min
(3) When taking photos, if a tube current of 50mA is chosen, then you cannot choose exposure time more
than 1.5 seconds, or the overload indication lamp will blink and exposure will fail.
(4) If the Ambient temperature of X-ray generator is about 60℃, the “H-OVER” overload indication lamp
will blink(red) and exposure will fail .Please turn off the machine and turn on again after the temperature
decrease
(5) The collimator lamp will be turned off automatically in 35 seconds when adjusting beam applicator. If
more illuminant time is required, turn it on again after 1 minute.
(6) When applying manual control, the operator should take necessary measures to protect against
radiation: wear x-ray protective coats and take radiography in the significant zone of occupancy (refer to
Graph 12) to reduce radiation to the minimum.

9. Safety
The unit belongs to radiology unit and must only be used in compliance with the instructions indicated in this
manual and must not be used for other purpose than medical radiography. The operator must with the
necessary knowledge in the field of radiation and with the necessary training in use of x-ray units. Take
special notes of the following items when put the unit into operation:
9.1 General Safety
(1) The unit must not be used when there are any electrical and mechanical faults.
(2) Must be assembled with ground connection (the olive green one) when operating the unit.
(3) Under no circumstances work in places saturated with vapors and/or flammable gases or explosives.
(4) Any modification to the unit must be permitted by the manufacturer or its authorized serviceman
(5) Regular check and maintenance is necessary for any incorrect operation will result in damage to the unit.
(6) Our company takes full responsibility for damage to people and/or things but declines any responsibility
for damage that caused by improper use or changing the system without permission.
9.2 Transportation and Storage
9.2.1 Transportation
(1) Transit and protection should be well prepared according to the icons and/or symbols on the package
box before transportation.
(2) During transportation, if there is uneven or gravelly road present, the moving speed should not exceed
40km/h. The speed should be reduced further more if the road is found to be worse.
(3) Watch out for any collision during transportation. To avoid collision during transportation, remove and
transit it as light as possible.
9.2.2 Storage
1) Environmental temperature: -20℃ ~ +55 ℃
2) Relative humidity: 10% ~ 100%
3) Atmospheric pressure: 500hPa—1060hPa
4) The unit must be settled in shadow, dry, moisture-guard and ventilated places. DO NOT put it in the open
air.
9.3 Electrical Safety
(1) Make sure the voltage and current of the electric net that the unit is to be connected complies with the

foreseen power supply requirements.
(2) The unit must not be used in rooms with flammable and/or explosive gases.
(3) Disconnect the unit from the mains before carrying out any cleaning, disinfection and/or sterilization.
(4) Always turn the unit off after use.
9.4 Fuse
9.4.1 Model

11. Disposal of the rejected machine
If the machine is correctly operated and properly maintained, it can be used for a long period of time. The key
parts, X-ray tube, can be used for about 10,000 times of exposure. If the tube is broken, it can be sent back
to our company to change for a new one at a moderate price. After the unit has served for years, it may break
down and cannot be repaired any more, then, the unit has to be disposed properly. The transformer oil in the
x-ray generator has to be recycled by industrial oil recycling department; and the other components made
from steels and coppers have to be disposed by the designated departments.

14. Quality Guarantee
If any malfunction is caused by quality related problems within one year from the date of purchase, the
product can be repaired for free or returned to the factory, unless the client has not observed all the
conditions stated in this manual.
