This study uses an input-process-output model as its conceptual framework. The model examines inputs like factors limiting students' options in the cafeteria and students' food preferences. A process of analyzing survey responses then determines the factors that limit students' options in the cafeteria. The output is a determination of the limiting factors.

This study adopted the input-process-output model for conceptual framework.
The research paradigm of the study is shown in Figure 1.
