Solusi paling sederhana dan fundamental dalam masalah ini tentu adalah dengan menyediakan

layanan transportasi umum yang memadai. Transportasi yang bisa mengurangi kemacetan karena

masyarakat beralih untuk menggunakan transportasi umum. Namun apakah benar demikian?

Transportation is the most important part of our life, because it can be make us more easily when

we want to move to the other destination. In everyday people usually using the different types of

transportation, such as private transport, or public transport. In every aspect, transportation have

their own advantage and disadvantage, especially in Indonesia. Public transportation in Indonesia

are less secure and comfortless than the other country, that's why people here decided to use their

own vehicle.

On the other hand, public transport is also less comfort than private transport. In Indonesia, more of

the drivers of public transportation like angkot, or even buses are not a professional, because they

are always make people run out of time and less care about people safety on the roads, they are

always drive in high speed and sometime collide with the other vehicle.

But, In Indonesia the public transportation is cheaper than private transport. Some people choose

the public transportation because they are avoiding the tax of having the private transport. Even in

Yogyakarta people are more prefer using a bicycle than a vehicle as their daily transport, some

transportation in Bandung are started to make people more comfortable and enjoying the ride when

they are using the public transportation.

We can say that public transportation in Indonesia needs more attention from the government

because it has more benefits than private transport. People should be aware of the overload of
vehicle in the roads that can produce more pollution, and they should think that public transport can

reduce the volume of vehicle in the roads.

For people that disagree with the statement, they normally will say that it is easy to use their own

transport rather than public transport. They might be says that it is more comfortable. But if we look

into other side, by using public transport as our transportation, it is much beneficial as it can help us

being more disciplined because public transport has the time table that everyone must follow.

Besides, we also can manage our time properly by being on time.

Public transport is the transport that is being used by the public such as bus, taxi, and train. Traffic

usually occurs when the majority of movement is carried out by private vehicles. Thus, the road is

not able to serve the movement well because of the overcapacity which leads to traffic. The simplest

solution to this problem is to provide adequate public transportation services. Transportation can

reduce congestion because people switch to using public transportation. But is that true?

Advantages

1. By and large, it's way cheaper to use public transportation to get around than it is to buy

your own vehicle. You don't have to pay for petrol, parking, maintenance, cleaning, or any of

that stuff. Just pay your fare, and you'll get there.

2. Public transportation reduces air pollution. By moving people more efficiently, public transit

produces significantly less air pollution per passenger mile than a standard car carrying a

single driver. Buses emit 20% less carbon monoxide, 10% as much hydrocarbons, and 75% as

much nitrogen oxides per passenger mile than an automobile with a single occupant. Next,

pollution also can be reduced by using public transport. In general, the smoke from the

vehicles that are carbon monoxide can cause the layer of atmosphere become thinner. Then,
 it will cause global warming which are the popular phenomena that happen nowadays.

Besides, the sound from each of the vehicles can make sound pollution. So, we should

decrease the uses of the vehicles on the road by using public transport.

3. Reduced traffic congestion. Public transportation can convey many more people in much

less space than individual automobiles, which helps to keep traffic congestion lower, which

in turn reduces air pollution from idling vehicles, and helps riders avoid the stress that

comes from daily driving in highly congested areas.

disadvantages

Public transport is also time-sensitive. You have to catch them when they're available. And many

services in Malaysia slow down or close completely when it's late enough in the night. Which means

while you can go most places, you can't go there whenever you want.

Not having to control anything about the travel also means you're not in control if anything bad

happens. While public transportation accidents are rare, when they happen, you're stuck with no

other option to get where you need to be.

PRIVATE

Advantages

Having a private vehicle means you save time waiting for the next bus or train to come to the

station. Go out anytime at night or as early in the day as you want. Plus, you don't need to wait for

other people to get off at their stops. It's just you, your vehicle, and the destination.
Not only do you not have to wait for anybody, you can also go anywhere you need to. With no

restrictions. Park right inside buildings, right outside your boyfriend's house, and anywhere else you

like.

Disadvantages

Having full control over your transportation also means you need to be in control of your

transportation. You have to navigate, find parking, pay for parking, sit through traffic jams with your

feet on the pedals, deal with other drivers, roadblocks, and all the annoying stuff that comes with it
