I – Install Operating Systems


 While installing operating systems, install network cables following the
layout. Test network cables using LAN Tester (Hinay hinay na ug crimp
sa mga cables)
II – After installing the network cables and operating systems, set network
configuration. Assign IP Addresses to the devices.
 Client PC – 192.168.1.3
o DNS Server Address – 192.168.1.2
 Server PC – 192.168.1.2
o DNS Server Address – 192.168.1.2
 Wireless Router/Default Gateway – 192.168.1.1
 Subnet Mask – 255.255.255.0
III – Test connectivity between devices. From client to server vice versa and
client/server to wireless router.
Client PC – Test connectivity to server – ping 192.168.1.2
Server PC – Test connectivity to client – ping 192.168.1.3
Client/Server – Test connectivity to wireless router – ping 192.168.1.1
IV – SERVER PC – Create Domain
a) RUN dcpromo
b) Check the checkbox
c) Create new domain
Sample: deped.ph
d) Windows Server 2008
e) Password: _______________
f) Then…restart
HOW TO REMOVE DOMAIN (just incase)
a) RUN dcpromo
b) Delete domain
c) Delete all application
d) “Enter Password”
e) Check Reboot on

CLIENT PC – Change workgroup to domain


a) Go to Advance Settings
b) Click “more”
c) Remove workgroup
d) Click Domain Add Domain
e) After clicking OK, login using the administrator account
f) RESTART NO
g) Switch User
h) To verify, go to “File Explorer” then “Network”. You must see there the
CLIENT PC NAME and SERVER PC NAME

V – ADD ROLES
SERVER PC
a) RUN oobe
b) Add Roles
c) Check the following
i. DHCP Server
ii. Print and Document Services
iii. Remote Desktop
d) Select Install Remote Desktop. Disable DHCP V6
e) Restart

VI – FOLDER REDIRECTION
SERVER PC
a) Create a folder in Local C:\
b) Share
c) Everyone
d) Add
e) Admin – co-owner – share
f) Everyone – co-owner – share
g) Click the folder then done
h) Properties (Sharing)
i) Network Path (Copy the network path)
j) Go to Administrative Tools
k) Active Directory Users and Computers
l) Right click domain
m) New – Organization Unit
n) New User – Subdomain
1. User – Fill-out the fields
Sample: firstname: joan
middlename: galler
lastname: romas
Userlogin name: joanromas@deped.ph
Sample Password: xxx@12345
Administrative Tools
i. Group Policy Management
ii. Right click domain. Click the (+) sign
iii. Sample Deped+
iv. Select “Create a GPO in this domain”
v. New GPO
Sample: Davaooriental
vi. User configuration
vii. Policies
viii. Windows Settings
ix. Folder redirecton (double click)
x. Right click the Desktop
xi. Select “Basic…”
xii. Paste Ctrl+v (Paste the network path)
xiii. Restart

CLIENT PC
i. Switch User
ii. Login the joan galler romas account
Sample: joanromas@deped.ph
Passsword: xxx@12345
iii. You must see the shared folder in the desktop

VII – CONFIGURE PRINTER SHARING


a) Install printer driver in CLIENT PC
b) Go to Devices and Printers
c) Right click the printer. Sample: Epson L365
d) Sharing ..
e) Then RESTART

LAPTOP NETWORK CONFIGURATION:


IP ADDRESS: 192.168.1.4
Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
Default Gateway: 192.168.1.1
DNS Server: 192.168.1.2 //ip ni server
Change the workgroup to domain
a) RUN then dial the IP of the ClientPC. Sample: \\192.168.1.3
b) Double click the shared printer
c) Installing… Then print

VIII – Remote Desktop


CLIENT PC
a. Click Windows Icon, RUN then Remote Desktop Connection
b. Computer name: deped.ph
c. Click connect
d. IP Address: 192.168.1.2 //ip ni server
e. Connect.
f. Try to connect Remote Desktop Connection in Client PC using the created
username and password used in SERVER PC. When the SERVERPC will
logoff, it means that they have the same username used within the domain
and the process is CORRECT.
