Evaluation of Educational Goals

When I initially started Old Dominion University’s BSN program, I set educational goals.

Setting goals is important to provide direction and objectives to work towards throughout the

program. My educational goals included improving my APA formatting and not having to retake

any classes in the program. I planned to measure these goals by having one or less APA

formatting errors in each assignment and by not having to retake any classes prior to graduation.

Now that the program is coming to an end, I am proud to say I met the educational goals

that I set at the beginning of the program. My APA formatting has improved through my

enrollment in the program. I completed all my assignments with one or less APA errors as

evidenced by the grading rubrics associated with individual assignments. I did not have to repeat

any classes as evidenced by my transcript and grade point average in the program. I have learned

a lot through my enrollment in the program. I am proud of my work and accomplishments. I plan

to take what I have learned from the program and use it to improve my personal and professional

practice.
