Sales change based on the year. Honey production is based heavily on the weather of that year
and the year before. The warmer and better the weather is for pollen plants, the more honey bees
will produce. In Indiana, beekeepers can receive approximately $4 per pound of honey sold. My
income will also include what is brought in from the wax, and honey and wax products.

My clientele would be mainly people from the surrounding areas. There is a wide variety of
people who are interested in purchasing locally sourced honey, be it for the health benefits or
simply to enjoy in baked goods, teas, etc.

My business will focus on the advertisement and sale of honey and honey related products.
These will include but may not be limited to extracted honey, comb honey, whipped honey,
creamed honey, bulk honey, wax, candles, lip balms, wood polish, lotions and body butters, soap,
and moustache wax, also baked goods produced with my honey.

Our main features would be prices which decreased as you bought a larger amounts of product.
This will be the main constant sale for our business, though other sales may occur at various
times through the year.

People will want to buy this honey because it is locally and naturally sourced. This means that
this is genuine honey, unlike much of what is sold in stores. In addition to this, it is believed that
honey sourced from your area has various health benefits including decreasing your allergies due
to the pollen type used to create the cattle.

I do not plan to employ anyone outside of assistance from my own family. Because of this, I will
not have specific salaries but am willing to pay family members based on the type and amount of
assistance they provide for the business.

To complete my job, I need to have an in depth understanding of bees and beekeeping. I will also
need a working knowledge of the prices of honey and the other products that I am selling within
the surrounding area to know if I am pricing my own products competitively. Finally, it will be
necessary for me to have good people skills to keep customers happy.

As I will not be hiring outside help, there is no need for a specific hiring process.

I will not be providing benefits to workers as I will not have any additional employees, this being
said, I will need to get insurance and such for my business, which will be an expense equal to
offering employee benefits.
