1. Research

What do you intend to do?

I intend to make a cutting board out of many complicated designs on the website.

a. Why is the work important?

The work is very important, because then I can learn how to draw beautiful pictures.

b. What has already been done?

We have prepared woods, and I have three drawing that has been done

c. How are you going to do the work?

I will draw three different drawings, and I can show Mr. Fitz-Gerald all my drawings. He will
show one for me.

2. Design specification

It can be cut drawings.

Must be very easy, but also good looking.

No words on the cutting board.

Can use many types of woods.

3. Design brief

Customer – Who is the customer?
What – What does the design need to be
accomplished?
Where – Where does the design need to
work/be?
Function – How does the design has to be
function?
Form – What from should it take?
Aesthetics – How should it look?
Size – What size should to be?
Materials – What is it made of?
Safety – Is it safe?
The customer is some students from grade 10
or 11 that likes to make woods.
The design must be some very simple design
but also very aesthetics.
It needs to work at the design workshop,
because there might be materials I need.
The cutting boards has to be good quality and
very good for cutting boards.
It should be rectangle and should be big.
It should look very simple and easy but also
very beautiful.
The size should be 20 x 25.
It made of woods.
It very safe, because it doesn’t have things
that’s shape.

4. Make a choice 

• Must be labeled
• Must have dimensions
• Must be visually appealing
• Must include materials that you intend to use

5. Success criteria
• Use sustainable wood for the cutting board
• Make a cutting board out of more than 2 types of wood
 • Have cutting boards

6. Success criteria
I think it should be draw very clear, simple, easy, but also very creative and pretty. The
drawings can be whatever you think of in your head but must be simple and creative.
Cannot copy someone’s idea and cannot search a famous picture online and drew it.

8. Written plan
1. Think of somethings and draw it down on a paper.
2. Finished drawing three pictures or more.
3. Show it to teacher and let him pick one.
4. Draw it one the blueprint.
5. Do design plan and finish it.

9. Listen

Mom: The drawings are very nice, and I think you can draw the lines clearer.
Dad: I think the drawings are to girly, I only like the pig.
Grandma: I think it’s cool and great.
