Uniform density of not less than 95 mass percent of the maximum dry density.
Will pass a sieve with 75 mm square openings and not more than 15 mass percent will
pass the 0.075 mm (No.200) sieve, as determined by AASHTO T 11.
For each 500m2 of each layer of compacted fill or fraction thereof: 1 set = 3 F.D. Test.
The layer shall be placed not exceeding (200 mm in loose; 150mm compacted) measurement or
based on the result of compacted trials.
The maximum compacted thickness of any layer shall not exceed 150 mm.
For every 500m2 of each layer of compacted fill or fraction thereof: 1 set = 3 F.D. Test.
The amount of lime to be added to the soil-aggregate shall be from 3 to 12 mass percent
of the dry soil.
Fine Aggregates
If the fine aggregate is subjected to five (5) cycles of the sodium sulphate
soundness test, the weighted loss shall not exceed 10 mass percent.
The fine aggregate shall be free from injurious amounts of organic impurities. If
subjected to the colorimatic test for organic impurities and a color darker than the
standard is produced, it shall be rejected. However, when tested for the effect of organic
impurities of strength of mortar by AASHTO T 71, the fine aggregate may be used if the
relative strength at 7 and 28 days is not less than 95 mass percent.
Coarse Aggregates
0.25 mass % of clay lumps, nor more than 3.5 mass % of soft fragments.
(5) cycles of the sodium sulfate soundness test, the weighted loss shall not exceed 12 mass%.
