of health, the opportunity to the author so that he can complete this fieldwork Report.
This Fieldwork Report is titled linguistic research methods in analyzing nouns. This
practical work has been carried out by the author well on Lembeh Island.
This Fieldwork Report is a task that must be completed by the English Literature
Department students at the Sam Ratulangi University.
The main objective of this field work is to strengthen the theories and practices that
have been learned on campus and can be solved with and applied in the field.
This author also says thanks to our Lectures, Dra. Hetty Pelealu, SH.,M.Hum and
Dra. Frieda Theresia Jansen, M.Hum who have guided us in giving material and

Words are one of the important elements in the formation of a language.

word category is a fairly complicated problem.
Words in every variety of languages have some various forms, so that it can
produces different meanings. This was learned by one branch of linguistics, namely
morphology.

linguistics that examines word formation.

Word class is a group of words in language units based on categories of shapes,

functions, and meanings in grammatical systems.
To compile good and correct sentences based on standard sentence patterns,
language users must recognize the types and functions of the word class in order to
avoid mistakes.

Chapter 2. Contents
Noun
A noun or noun is a class of words that express the name of a person,
place, or all objects and everything that is blocked. Nouns can be divided
into two: concrete nouns for objects that can be known as the five senses
(such as books), as well as abstract nouns for objects that state things that
can only be known by thoughts (such as love).
In addition, these types of words can also be grouped into special nouns
or proper nouns and common nouns. The noun self-name is a noun that
represents a certain entity (for example Jakarta or Ali), whereas a general
noun is the opposite, describing a class of entities (such as cities or
people).
