Start SDM in Java Portal:

2. Go to the Deployment Tab in the SDM & upload the SLDJCOs.ear file for deployment:
3. Once uploaded, it will show the package details. Once the deails are confirmed click next to
proceed.
4. Now select the package SLDJCOs & start deployment:

5. Once the deployment is started , SDM tool will show the progress:
6. Once the deployment is completed, the progress bar shows 100% completed in the SDM. Click
confirm to compete the deployment:

7. Once the deployment is completed, the SDM screen returns to the main screen. The SDM can be
closed at this point in time:
8. Once the component is deployed, open up the Portal using http://hostname:5nn00 /irj/portal &
navigate to Content Administration-> Web Dynpro -> Application -> JCOApp -> run to execute the
application on the portal

9. Once the application is run, it displays the list of JCo destinations along with the system details,
username , password & status of the JCo destination. (Please note the password field has been
kep hidden in the screenshot only to be compliant with the BP Security Policy)
10. Click on the Export to Excel button to download the details in a spreadsheet. (Please note the
password field has been kep hidden in the screenshot only to be compliant with the BP Security
Policy)

12. Checking if the technical system for the back–end is available in the SLD:

21. Click on Configuration tab in NWA home page.

24. Scroll and select SLD_Client destination --> Click on Edit and maintain the correct SLD url
25. Maintain the correct Logon Credentials
26. Click on Ping Destination

29. Now, we need to upload the JCO destinations back to the new SLD. Open the JCO Apps
30. Edit the Exported file & remove the header line from the exported file. The file should now look
like the following:

31. Browse the newly edited file in the Application:

32. It opens up the browser dialog:

33. Once the file is uploaded, Click on the Create JCOs

34. The JCOs are now created.
