At Lee Specialties we design, manufacture, and service wireline equipment.
Established in Red Deer, Alberta, Canada in 1999, Lee Specialties employs more than 160 individuals
spanning the gamut of vocations from skilled trades-people to professionals. In 2010, Lee Specialties
proudly expanded our operations to the USA with three facilities: a main office/manufacturing facility in
Houston, TX; one equipment rental facilities in Yorktown, TX; and another rental facility in Youngsville, LA.

Hydraulic Stuffing Box
Description
A hydraulic Stuffing Box is used in slickline operations and is located at the top of the
pressure control stack. It confines well fluids and gases to a well and its pressure control
stack. Stuffing Box packing wipes line clean as it travels out of the stack.

Description
A Packoff provides a seal around a static wireline to confine well fluids and gases to a well
and pressure control stack. Lee Specialties Packoffs are compatible with most wireline
sizes. They are available in a variety of threaded connections or with our proprietary direct
connection, which allows for quick connection between a Lee Specialties Packoff and
Grease Head.

Grease Control Head
Description
The Grease Control Head maintains a grease seal around static (stationary) or dynamic
(moving) wireline to prevent the escape of potentially harmful wellbore fluids and gases. A grease
seal is achieved by pumping viscous fluid through the space between the inner diameter of grease
flow tubes and the outer diameter of wireline. The fluid pumped into a grease control head is
controlled by a grease injection system.

Chemical Injection (Purging) Sub
Description
Lee Specialties Chemical Injection Subs perform two tasks. They allow for injection of fluids
such as a de-icing agent or corrosion inhibitor into the well, and they allow for purging of air
pressure from a pressure control stack.

Description
The Lee Specialties Head Catcher is a multiple tool/size, cable head catcher. It is
durable, easy to use and simple to maintain. It is usually installed above the lubricator in a
pressure control stack.

Description
The Lee Specialties Tool Trap prevents loss of a tool string down hole if
wireline is parted with the Cable Head. It is normally installed between the
lubricator and the blowout preventer in a pressure control stack. Manual and
hydraulically actuated models are available. The hydraulic model allows for
operation of the tool from a remote location.

tools into a well bore. The lubricator sections must be long enough to contain the entire tool string.

Quick Test Sub
Description
The Lee Specialties Quick Test Sub facilitates changes to a tool string by
enabling the pressure control stack integrity to be quickly retested. Modifications
to a multiple run tool string, completed with the assistance of a Lee Specialties
Quick Test Sub, are quicker than standard changes because the entire pressure
control stack does not need to be re-tested.

Description
A Pump-In-Sub (Flow-T) is normally placed below a BOP. It allows
for bleeding off of well gases and fluids from a pressure control
stack. The Pump-In-Sub assists in introduction of fluids to a well

A hydraulic BOP is used to prevent well flow. A hydraulic BOP is functioned remotely by way of a hydraulic
system acting on the actuators. Two-way connections facilitate opening and closing of the BOP ram blocks.

Lee Specialties grease injection systems are designed to operate in the most extreme environments and under the most difficult well conditions.
Equipped with Lee Specialties intensifier pumps, live hydraulic swivels, and high-pressure hydraulic manifolds, Lee Specialties grease injections
systems are comprised of superior craftsmanship. High profile jobs become routine when you combine our grease injection systems with our pressure
control equipment. The engraved stainless steel control panel and purely mechanical design assure trouble-free operation. The self-contained diesel
driven system provides a consistent rate of grease regardless of well pressure. This is an advantage over air operated systems, which reduce volume
as pressure increases.

Description
The 20 Gallon Hydraulic Accumulator Skid is

used to provide a reliable source of hydraulic
supply to actuate blowout preventer (BOP)
rams at any time.
A diesel engine powers the system hydraulic

pump. The pump charges four 5 US gallon
accumulator bottles that are connected
in series for redundancy and to provide
sufficient volume for multiple BOP
ram actuation.
