A rocky relationship between a female couple forces them to spend the night apart. Told almost as an anthology, each equal in length, we observe the
couple’s journey through the night in this oblique quasi-art-film approach. Tess, an Iranian female, who takes the route of attending a concert, is charmed
by a guy named Shadi, who ends up convincing her to visit his place. As they have sex we question if the sex was consensual, due to the nature of the
intense scene. Tess is adamant about not wanting to have sex at first but after Shadi begins to pleasure her, she grows silent. Nassy, Tess’s partner,
skips the concert. Unable to avoid her depression, she wanders through Brooklyn among all the different classes of night-owls. Realizing she needs
company, at her lowest point, she reaches out to her dear friend Jenna, a doula. Accompanying Jenna, as Jenna helps the delivery of a family’s home
birth she witnesses an indescribable act.
