Week of _____ February 11 – February 15__________

Responsibilities: Get acquainted with Blackfinn DC staff, gain access to Blackfinn social media
pages, gain access to Blackfinn media files, draft first social media post.
Comments/Reflections: My first week was a new and revolved around me feeling comfortable
with everyone at Blackfinn. It felt a little uncomfortable to be the only black person on staff that
wasn’t a busboy or waiter.

Week of _____ February 18 – February 22_________________

Responsibilities: Go through all Blackfinn social media pages and screenshot pictures we could
potentially repost, organize photo library, document party lists for Friday night events, draft
social media posts, create social media graphics.
Comments/Reflections: I began to feel a little more comfortable with the Blackfinn staff,
especially the social media staff. They stressed that I could be myself and that they are laid back.
My supervisors are excited for the work that I could put out and to learn.

Week of _______ February 25 – March 1_______________

Responsibilities: Send VIP emails, document party lists for Friday night events, draft social
media posts for the week, organize photo library.
Comments/Reflections: The more the weeks go by the more comfortable I get with all staff at
Blackfinn. I am learning useful information that I can use when I do social media for my org at
Howard University.

Week of ________ March 4 – March 8______________

Responsibilities: Draft social media posts for the week, document party lists for Friday night
events, pick up and buy company supplies.
Comments/Reflections: I feel like I am getting trusted to do more around Blackfinn. I was sent
to collect and buy company supplies for Blackfinn and also help them organize their VIP party
lists more often than I was previously.

Week of ________ March 11 – March 15______________

Responsibilities: Take screenshots of various influencer’s Instagram stories that tagged
Blackfinn during an event, draft social media posts for the week, pick up and buy company
supplies, send out newsletter via email.
Comments/Reflections: Throughout the weeks I’m given more tasks to do or different tasks
than normal so that makes me feel good and excited for the work that I’m going to have to do
with Blackfinn in the future.

Week of ______ March 18 – March 22________________

Responsibilities: Draft social media posts for the week, add to and organize photo library, create
spreadsheet of social media influencers in DC.
Comments/Reflections: This is the week after spring break so it was a transition to get back into
the work mindset but I feel like it was a pretty smooth transition and I still felt productive
through all of that.

Week of ________ March 25 – March 29______________

Responsibilities: Add to social media influencer list, draft social media posts for the week,
document party lists for Friday night events, organize list of event planners for Blackfinn.
Comments/Reflections: My supervisor was really impressed with my list of social media
influencers and it makes posting to the Blackfinn social media pages easier.

Week of __________ April 1 – April 5____________

Responsibilities: Draft social media posts for the week, take photographs, organize list of social
media influencers, organize list of event planners for Blackfinn.
Comments/Reflections: I’m really enjoying my time at Blackfinn because I am learning and my
supervisors are great. I want to work strictly in social media so this opportunity is great at seeing
what that is like.

Week of ________ April 8 – April 12______________

Responsibilities: Draft social media posts for the week, organize list of event planners for
Blackfinn, take photographs.
Comments/Reflections: I feel as if I’m really finding my groove with Blackfinn and hope to
continue this social media internship into the summer.

Week of ________ April 15 – April 19______________

Responsibilities: Draft social media posts for the week, organize list of event planners for
Blackfinn, add to list of social media influencers, do promotional outreach.
Comments/Reflections: This week has been pretty light as far as my workload due to it being
the end of the school year. My supervisors understand that I am a college student and have other
obligations so it feels good to have supervisors that support me.
