SPRING FESTIVAL IS NEXT SUNDAY – APRIL 28!!!

The WORKLIST was in last weeks’ bulletin and there are extra copies in the church vestibule. Please
check the work list for your assigned jobs and time. If you cannot work your assigned job, please contact Carolyn Cole (620-340-
3766) as soon as possible so that a replacement can be found. We are always looking for extra help. Please stop in if you can to
offer your assistance. Thanks for your cooperation!
 Carry out meals will be available. If you would like to arrange for a meal to be delivered to your home in Olpe,
please contact Carolyn Cole (620-340-3766—can leave text too).
 If you have containers for night lunch OR homemade pickles or beets, they can be dropped off at school any
time the weekend of the festival.
 If you are preparing chickens, please bring your THAWED meat and broth (separated) to school early Saturday
morning, April 27th.
 Please try to prepare a home-baked item for St. Anne’s Country Store. It is helpful to have some of these items
brought in early (by 1:00 P.M.) so the ladies can do some selling before dinner. Please wrap your items in
transparent wrap and identify them by type. The ladies will price them for you.
 Don’t forget to bring the items that you signed up to bring. Food is vital to the success of our festival.
It will be a DELICIOUS dinner of roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy, chicken and noodles, coleslaw, jello
salads, beets, pickles, rolls, dessert, coffee and tea. The adult meal price is $8.00 and youth ages 10 and under
are $3.00. What a deal! There will also be children’s games on the school lawn beginning at 3:00 p.m. Bingo
starts at 6:45 p.m. in the Knights of Columbus Hall. We pray that God will bless us with wonderful weather.
Come join the fun and fellowship!

Thursday, May 2, is a National Day of Prayer

Junior and senior high students are invited to gather at the Methodist Church at 7:20
a.m. to pray. Their petitions of prayer will focus on federal, state, and local
government officials, the military, media, churches, and families. Please encourage
your children to participate in this important event, and opportunity to come together
in unity with other Christians to pray for the common good for all.

St. Joseph’s Cemetery News Announcement

The St. Joseph’s Cemetery Committee would like to encourage any parishioner who would like some of the extra dirt that has
accumulated at the cemetery to feel free to load up as much as they want. We also have some pipe posts in concrete that were
removed from the front fence of the cemetery. Anyone that could use these are encouraged to come and load them up ASAP.
We hope everyone has noticed the improvements made to our St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery thus far. We are currently having the
center sign painted. We hope to post our rules and regulations for the cemetery in the next few weeks.
We continue to seek donations to complete the remaining sections of the cemetery fence and apply additional gravel to the roadways
in the cemetery from all the recent rains. Anyone interested in donating please see a committee member.
We want to thank everyone who has assisted with the improvements thus far. We thank these individuals for their time, talents, and
treasures for our cemetery and Parish. We also appreciate the time and effort put in by the committee members.

HAPPY EASTER TO EVERYONE!

Lent is over, sacrifices have been made, busy schedules will subside (we hope!). What a beautiful
season of joy and hope—because Jesus who was crucified, is raised! We are called by the Holy Spirit
to be new men and women and children of Christ, confirming the value of life.
We are again, so very thankful to those in this parish who have assisted in any way during this Lent,
Holy Week, and Easter. Thanks to all who have served, lectored, ministered (especially to the sick),
were gift bearers and sacristans, cleaned, decorated, donated, mowed, trimmed, educated, hosted,
attended mass, served on committees, and volunteered in any capacity. Special thanks to Father
Farrar, Father Swamy, and visiting priests for your sacrifices and commitment during this time.
Without ALL of you…..well we just wouldn’t be the amazing parish that we are AND we wouldn’t
continue to grow in both our faith and members!

Thanks to all who donated towards the beautiful flowers to decorate our Easter Altars. Memorial
flowers were given in memory of the following:
