Introduction: - This site is useful for customers who don’t want to go outside in home
for shopping. In this site we add many products for the customer for order any product which
is available here like Man’s clothes, Women’s clothes, kid’s clothes and any other electronics
items like Mobile phones, Laptops, and some other things. If any customer orders anything
by this site then customer will get some offer and also get discount offers like season offer.

The objective of this project is to develop a general purpose of Online Shopping store where
any products can be bought from the comfort of home through the Internet. However, for
implementation purposes, this paper will deal with an Online Shopping. The Online Shopping
is a virtual store on the Internet where customers can browse the catalog and select products
of interest. The selected items may be collected in a shopping cart. At checkout time, the
items in the shopping cart will be presented as an order. At that time, more information will
be needed to complete the transaction. Usually, the customer will be asked to fill or select a
billing address, a shipping address, a shipping option, and payment information such as credit
card number. An e-mail notification is sent to the customer as soon as the order is placed.

This is a small scale project for Online Women shopping system. The basic idea is that
customers can buy products using online. The administrator can enter the name and
password and can create an account then generate the receipt of the products purchase.

The Online Shopping is expanded permanently through new products and services in order to
offer a product portfolio corresponding to the market. Private customer and business
customers can order the selected products of the Online Shopping service online quickly and
comfortably. Target groups of customer of the Shopping Cart are the customers can have a
payment option through credit card only. In order to use the load writing procedure, the
customer registers itself and receives a login for its purchases name. It is an Internet
application. Electronic Commerce (e-commerce) applications support the interaction between
different parties participating in a commerce transaction via the network, as well as the
management of the data involved in the process.
About Existing System: - Online shopping is a form of electronic shopping store where
the buyer is directly online to the seller’s computer usually via the internet. There is no
intermediary service. The sale and purchase transaction is completed electronically and
interactively in real- time.
The development of this new system contains the following activities, which try to
develop on-line application by keeping the entire process in the view of database integration
approach. User gets its e-mail id and password to access their account .It is an online store
that enables website owners to sell their product online. It is a web shopping cart that web
enables the day-day sales functions. It includes product and customer management modules.
This website will be useful to anyone who wants to purchase items using internet.
The Online Shopping needs to sell different types of products to customer living in any
part of the world. The website will show all products in categorized manner. Customer can
browse any product for its price and other details and can order the product. Orders needs to a
company with shipping & billing details. Customer has to pay order amount online through
credit cards. Products can be managed by operators from admin panel. Operator can be
created by admin. Admin can keep track of orders through admin panel. The main purpose of
the system is to enable customers to browse and order from any part of the world and hence
increasing business scope.
Problem in Existing System: -
 Risk of mismanagement of data.
 The existing system is manual system.
 Needs to be converted into automated system.
 Less Security.
 No proper coordination between different Applications and Users.
 Fewer Users - Friendly.
 Accuracy not guaranteed.
 Not in reach of distant users.

Proposed System (Solution of Problems): - To debug the existing system,

remove procedures those cause data redundancy, make navigational sequence
proper. To provide information about audits on different level and also to reflect
the current work status depending on organization/auditor or date. Required to
build strong password mechanism.

The development of the new system contains the following activities, which try to automate
the entire process keeping in view of the database integration approach.
1. User friendliness is provided in the application with various controls.
2. The system makes the overall project management much easier and flexible.
3. There is no risk of data mismanagement at any level while the project development is
under process.
4. It provides high level of security with different level of authentication.
5. Users from any part of the world can make use of the system.
6. New system will process accurate results.
7. New system will be much better in performance as compared to existing one.

System Requirement Profile: - After analyzing the requirements of the task to be

performed, the next step is to analyze the problem and understand its context. The first activity in
the phase is studying the existing system and other is to understand the requirements and domain
of the new system. Both the activities are equally important, but the first activity serves as a basis
of giving the functional specifications and then successful design of the proposed system.
Understanding the properties and requirements of a new system is more difficult and requires
creative thinking and understanding of existing running system is also difficult, improper
understanding of present system can lead diversion from solution.

Tools and Techniques Used: -

1. HARDWARE REQUIREMENTS: -
•PIV 2.8 GHz Processor and Above
•RAM 512MB and Above
•HDD 20 GB Hard Disk Space and Above

2. SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS: -
•WINDOWS OS (XP / 2000 / 200 Server / 2003 Server)
•Visual Studio .Net 2005 Enterprise Edition
•Internet Information Server 5.0 (IIS)
•Visual Studio .Net Framework (Minimal for Deployment)
•SQL Server 2000 Enterprise Edition

Project Plan: - The supplementary specification applies to online shopping system. This
specification defines the non-functional requirement of the system such as:
Functionality: -
Since it stand alone application, one or more user may use it at a time.
Usability: -
Desktop interface
Windows 98/200/XP/7/8
Technology: -
Front End: HTML5, Java Script, PHP
Back End: xampp
Database: MySQL
Reliability: -
The system is available during online time only.
Performance: -
The performance depends on hardware specification.

System Analysis: - The current Shopping System is critical to set up online shops, customers
to browse through the shops, and a system administrator to approve and reject requests for new
shops and maintain lists of shop categories. This is a small scale project for Online Shopping
System. The basic idea is that the candidates can buy product from anywhere during any time by
using their card number and password provided to them. The database will maintain the product
details information. Customer can view their product details using the card details. This Online
Shopping System involves with two types of users.

•CUSTOMER
•ADMINISTRATOR

CUSTOMER ROLE: -
The customers can login to the System. She/he can view his/her product details and buy their
product. The customer can just view the information where as he/she could not make changes in the
database.

ADMINISTRATOR ROLE: -
The administrator plays a vital role in the Online shopping system. The administrator controls the
entire database. The report of the product is generated by the administrator itself. The main role of
the administrator is to safeguard the database and can add/delete the products from the database.
