It is my pleasure to recommend Claire Burnett for a teaching position. As a third grade teacher at
Pleasant Ridge Elementary, I have had the pleasure of working alongside Claire for the past eight
months. Claire student taught with my teaching partner, and with our teacher consultant, who
supports several students from my classroom. Claire approaches her work with dignity, motivation,
compassion, ingenuity and delight. She embodies every aspect of an excellent educator.

Claire, her mentor teachers, and I, had many conversations, planning sessions, meetings and IEPs
together. Claire was very punctual, responsible and respectful in these interactions. On many
occasions, she offered support with work and student supervision during crunch times. Claire
always completed tasks efficiently, with great attention to detail. She was always poised and
confident in her interactions with parents and colleagues around the district. Claire is well liked and
respected in our building. She is an effective communicator and collaborator. When we meet to
strategize about our students she thinks critically about the next steps to be taken and offers creative
solutions to difficult problems.

Claire establishes an excellent rapport with all of the students she works with at Pleasant Ridge. Her
calm and gentle manner puts students at ease, and she is very well liked. Her positive nature, respect
for students, and ability to manage behavior in a calm manner are all qualities that will make her a
wonderful educator.

Her enthusiasm for helping students is what makes Claire an exceptional candidate for any teaching
position. The flexibility and pedagogical excellence she already exhibits is impressive. Without
