What is ISTE?
ITSE is an organization that helps
educators integrate technology into
the classroom. It stands for
International Society for Technology
in Teaching.
Classroom Use
ISTE provides educators with
standards. These standards are used
in the classroom to help your
student learn. There are a variety of
ways we integrate these standards
into learning, but they all use
technology. This may include
computer use for students to do
research, explore, record data,
design projects, and assess.

Technology as a Tool
In the classroom we will use
technology as a tool. This will not
replace me as a teacher, but will aid
students learning. We will use
technology sometimes, but not all of
the time. I understand how important
it is to have social interactions and will
have extensive time for this.
What technology offers
Technology offers students to think
critically by allowing them to explore
and create on their own. It also
provides me to adapt to different
learning styles. Every child learns and
thinks differently, but with technology
I am able to adapt my lessons easier.
Students have different abilities and
this allows students to work at their
own pace. Students also may need
accommodations within class, this
provides an effective way to
incorporate these.
