• Work as a paid research assistant for the Family Food Study, investigating the association of food insecurity and
different physical and psychosocial measures.
• With other research assistants, conduct home visits in mothers and children that include cognitive tasks, food
frequency questionnaires, and anthropometric measurements.

• Worked as a research assistant for academic credit as a student then as a volunteer after graduation, researching the
similarities between addictive and eating behaviors through multi-method approaches including neuroimaging,
behavioral phenotyping, and time-use diaries.
• Recruited and ran adult and adolescent participants through protocols for multiple studies, performed targeted
literature reviews, actively contributed in weekly lab meetings, and created study surveys using Qualtrics.
• Assisted in data collection and processing of time-use diaries from over 200 adolescent participants analyzing TV
screen time and associations with multitasking, food intake, BMI and body fat percentage, and working on a poster
and paper summarizing the data.

• Graduate student instructor for Introduction to Psychopathology, creating lesson plans and independently leading
3 hours of discussion section every week for over 60 undergraduate students, grading exams and assignments, and
collaborating with the PI and fellow GSIs during weekly team meeting.

Research Assistant, Interim Protocol Coordinator, June 2017-July 2018
• Interim protocol coordinator for a clinical trial examining the impact of androgen deprivation treatment on
different racial groups, working with 12 different medical clinics located around the U.S. to coordinate biospecimen
shipments, tracked participant enrollment and recruitment, database manager, completed patient food diary
interviews, and wrote weekly metric reports.
• Tracked survey completion for baseline and yearly follow-ups for a pilot study on life outcomes in 1,500 cancer
survivors. Managed and did basic programming in Microsoft Access tracking database, and sent out payments to
participants. Collected, tracked, and oversaw lab delivery of DNA saliva samples, and followed up with patients
about missing saliva samples and other study requirements.
• Head of rapid case ascertainment for a larger 5,500-person study about on cancer survivorship in Metro Detroit.
Scrutinized medical records of every patient to determine study eligibility, assigned tracking IDs, contacted doctors
for patient permissions, and gave status updates at monthly meetings.
• Created and sent out thousands of patient and doctor letters for four all studies and monitored study supply levels.
• Conducted literature reviews on the use of SEER and Medicaid data to determine treatment type and coverage of
prostate cancer and helped write up papers concerning racial disparities in elected prostate cancer treatment.

• Aid in development and fundraising work for Club Sports, organizing reports and tracking donor engagement
across 27 different sports. Writing content and servicing club leaders during the annual Giving Blueday
fundraising campaign, and leading presentations for special fundraising projects in front of potential donors.

Women’s Club Water Polo Team, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI

• Assistant coach of the nationally competitive club water polo program, specializing in strength and conditioning
workouts and new player development. Lead over 20 girls through 8 hours of practice per week as well as coach
at 7 tournaments during the four-month season, educating and mentoring new players in the sport.

• Assisted the Major Gift Officer in constructing donor reports, compiling and processing fund and donor data,
aggregating and analyzing data requests and gift reports, aiding in event planning and execution, and donor

• Spearheaded the efforts for Giving Blue Day, a University-wide day of giving that involves large a social media
push for donations. Analyzed past giving data to help create a strategic plan, coordinated and posted on social
networks for 24 hours, identified and recruited donors, and monitored networks to personally thank donors.

• Hired into the competitive Development Summer Internship Program as a Dobson Intern, a sponsored position
that works with a local community nonprofit, and placed at The Ark, a nonprofit music venue.
• Developed a student ambassador program with a detailed strategic and marketing plan.
• Created and launched an online survey tool to collect demographic and mission-related information from
audiences. Created a social media communication plan to boost online presence and bring the organization’s
mission and fundraising to their social media networks in a relevant and informational way.

follower base by 23% on Twitter and increased Facebook likes by 23%.
• Developed and worked with with senior staff to design a strategic plan to increase and improve posting in regard
to original, interactive, and promotional content. Manage a social media staff of 20 students.
• Dissected Google analytics and network-specific metrics to create monthly, detailed analytics reports to guide
strategy development for all sections of the paper.
• Produced and wrote a daily newsletter sent to over 3,000 readers every weekday.

• Planned a home tournament, involving: inviting teams, securing a pool and funding, creating a program, selling
T shirts and concessions, hiring officials, securing sponsors, and coordinating the scoreboard and shot clock.
• As treasurer, created a budget plan in order to pay for transportation and hotels for the season, collaborated
with the board to plan and lead fundraising initiatives, and handled all team transactions and reimbursements.
