HOW TO READ THIS REPORT?
This survey used Popular Salary Range and Median Salary to reflect the
distribution of the salary data by job level (follow the illustration bellows).
Particularly:
Popular Salary Range is limited within two points: 25% and 75%. The
point 50% is actually the median number. It means that popular salary
range shows the distribution of 50% salary data around the median
point, and reflects the current popular salary benchmark.

(*) The median number is a statistical term representing one way of finding the
average of a set of ‘n’ data points by taking the value of the middle number of a
group of numbers arranging in ascending distribution. For example, if there are
5 jobseekers who earn respectively 10, 10, 15, 25 and 40 million VND per month,
the median number is 15 million VND (the central point).
The Median Salary is a better representative than the average salary because it
eliminates the effect of extremely high or extremely low salary data in the market.

Although most jobseekers still apply for jobs even when they
can not find the salary information in the job posts, employers
will lost approximately 1/3 of the potential applications
because of hiding the job salary.
