Most people use mobile phones for different purposes. Either for
communication, entertainment, photography or for gathering information. As
teenagers or millennials the main patron of mobile phones, we have the desire
to know what brand of mobile phone they commonly acquire. We want to assess
the brand of mobile phones students prefer to use, if it is Samsung, Vivo, Oppo,
IPhone, Cherry mobile or others in connection to what factors of the phone they
considered.

ANALYSIS
The graphical representation shows that out of the 213 respondents from
first year COM Students,35% are using Samsung phones, which is the greatest
while 6% are using Cherry Mobile which is the least and 17% are using other
phones like Huawei, LG, Lenovo, Alcatel and etc.
INTERPRET
Most favorite brand among the first year students of COM is Samsung and
the least favorite brand is cherry mobile.

ANALYSIS
In figure 2, it illustrates that there are 62 respondents who are using phones
within 6-12 months and 13 respondents for 27-33 months.
INTERPRET
Most of the respondents are already using their mobile phones at about 6-12
months.

ANALYSIS
The figure shows that there are about 4 respondents who were willing to
spend Php1000 below to acquire phones,26 respondents for the amount of
Php1001-Php5000, 97 respondents were willing to spend between Php5001-
Php9000, 26 respondents were willing to pay between Php9001-Php13000, 39
respondents can acquire a phone worth Php13,000-Php17,000, 8 respondents
were willing to pay Php17,001-Php21,000 and 13 respondents were willing to
spend Php21,001 above.
INTERPRET
Majority of the respondents can acquire a phone worth of Php5001-
Php9000.

ANALYSIS
It shows in the figure above that the Internal Memory and Space is the
most important factor among all the factors which the respondents considered
in acquiring phones.
INTERPRET
It manifests that the respondents mostly considered the internal memory
and space of the mobile phone they acquire.
FINDINGS
1.) Samsung is the most favorite brand of the first year COM students.
2.) Mostly of the respondents are using their phones at about 6-12 months
already.
3.) 97 respondents spend Php5001-Php9000 on acquiring their mobile
phones.
4.) Majority of the respondents considered the internal memory and space as
an important factor in choosing a phone.
CONCLUSION
Hereby, we can conclude from this survey that respondents prefer a phone
having a large internal memory and space and Samsung has the maximum
brand preference as compared to other brands. Though, there are many brands
of mobile phones existing in our country, Samsung is still the most preferred
brand.
