(2 Minutes)
Class will be divided into five groups. Group 1- Nature Lover; Group 2- Emotional;Get
easily upset; Group 3-Loves surprises ;Group 4- Wants to volunteer and to help others,
Group 5-Wants to be a hero or idolizes Police Officers and Armed Forces.
The teacher will distribute speech to each group. Let the group read the speech. They
need to identify the purpose of the speaker in the written speech. After 5 minutes, the
teacher will call someone from the group to read the speech assigned to them.

Regulation and Control, Group 2 -Social Interaction, Group 3- Motivation, Group 4-
Information Dissemination, Group 5- Emotional Expression.
Teacher will read different dialogues and situations. Group will analyze and identify the
function or purpose of the speaker. They will stand if they think that it’s their function.
