Reflection Paper

This Foundation of Nutrition has taught me in so many ways like for an example in the

class we did one paper that we had to calculate what we ate/drink from the whole day. We had to

track it and record it a nutrition app, which I don’t do that regularly which was a learning process

for me personally. The app that I use to track what I would have for breakfast, lunch, dinner it

taught me that I didn’t have lunch which was little bad it made see that if I don’t eat lunch to

have some snacks then and there which would help get through until I ate dinner. Another thing

that I learned was that what I had too much of something or to less of a something of what need

to cut from the way I ate. Also more of what I need for my body which the app helps me see

what I need for my body, so I had had a healthy way of eating things.

There was another assignment that we did that I learn which was anything that we wanted

to talk about, but it had to be under nutrition’s which I wanted to talk about body images. The

reason why I pick this topic was that I wanted to learn more about it and learn about people point

of view of body image since we all go through as a young kids/ teenager and becoming adult.

Also, when a woman gets pregnant their body image changes in a way that they're not familiar

from when they have their first baby that was also a learning process. This class has taught me in

so many different ways that I learn about nutrition’s things that I wasn’t familiar about my body

and the way you should be eating in a healthy way that you won’t get sick or get any bad disease
for your organization. Also having energy in your body helps a lot especially when doing some

exercise to keep your body healthy.

How would I use this class in the future since I want to major in Elementary Education as

a future teacher? I want to teach my students about what is the important thing about nutrition,

also showing them the pyramid of nutrition of what type of food that we put in our body which

can be a learning process for them. Even for them to get the point of view since they are young

they learn how to be healthy as they grow. This class can also help me see ways of how I can

help family members or friends about being healthier for their body and what way you be healthy

but in the right direction of not getting sick.

This was a beneficial class, I’m happy that I learn a through the semester about nutrition

and now I can take this for my personal life so overall it was a very learning process as well for

my other classes.
