Business Proposal / Kwago Café

1.Nature of Business

Kwago Café is internet café that serves coffee, related coffee drinks (Frappes, espressos,

milkshakes) with customers consist of students. It serves different convenient seating areas that

may use as a solo or a group of students. It also serves high speed internet if you order any of the

drinks from the café or avail a wifi connection. It also indulges in newer technologies though an

application for reservations and orders in the café for an easy accessibility to the students and

customers.

2.Why did you choose this Business

Studying outside the comforts of your students home has its perks. For students who are

live in a dormitory or condominium, they can’t accommodate an entire study group inside their

rooms. Most of them wants to study outside their own places to avoid them being lazy or sleepy.

Students want a quiet space that has fast wifi, an abundance of sockets for all our gadgets, and a

food that they want to eat while studying or doing their own tasks. Unlike other cafés, they don’t

have a fast wifi, an overload of customers and they closed earlier than midnight. They are students

that have a group project but don’t have a place to gather them together or no available places from

their own.

3. Name / Location of the business

Name: Kwago Café – the business name comes from the bird animal Kwago or Owl as a

nocturnal bird or never sleeps at night the applies to the Café that is open 24 hours.

Logo Design Rationale -

 cup of coffee in a top view

 owl’s eyes

 COLOR : YELLOW –

represents the color of the owl

The entire design of the logo is a combination of the owl’s eyes and a cup of coffee. The

presentation of the logo is a two cups of coffee align that look like an eyes of an owl meaning that

“Kwago Café” is a 24/7 internet cafe that awakes in the midnight like an owl as a nocturnal bird.

The Kwago Café was made with minimal elements that composes of the fundamental of design

such as balance, line, proximity, alignment, contrast and space. The yellow color in the logo

represents the color of the owl. The text in the logo used a sans serif typeface to keep the idea of

minimalism and simplicity intact with the logo design.

Tagline: “Big Eyes Never Sleeps”

The tagline means that the internet café “Kwago Café” is like an owl that never sleeps. The

term “Big Eyes” means the owl that is compare to the “Kwago Café” meaning that you can visit

the internet café 24/7 for the students who wants to study of do their homeworks day and night.

Location of the Business –

Kwago Cafe’ is located at One Archers Place, Taft Ave, Malate, Manila, 1004 Metro Manila.

Being in college is more than just going to universities and attending classes. It is mostly

composed of late night study sessions, big coffee cups that students rely on every single night just

to stay awake, and the countless amount of homework you cram in the morning because you

accidentally “took a nap”. Kwago Cafe’ is the place to those people who refuse to study where

their beds are or are sick of their local coffee shop.

The business is located near La Salle and College of St. Benilde. The proponents target

college students, hence, the location. It is also one jeep or LRT away from any other Universities

from Intramuros or University Belt so it is easier to find and very accessible.

4. Products and services

Kwago Cafe’ is a 24-hour internet café that provides a place, wifi and food for students

who choose to not study on their homes because it makes them feel lazy or sleepy. It has available

sockets everywhere so they can charge their phones or laptops, etc. They can access the 200 mbps

wifi for 5 hours if they choose to avail food or drink (but for one device or gadget only), they also

have the option to just use the internet that costs 40 pesos per hour but will be available to more

than just one gadget.

Banana cake, cheesecakes, and grilled cheese are the sample pastries that is available in

the store. And Frappes, espressos, milkshakes for the drinks.

5. Application

Kwago Cafe’ will surely be frequented by students, especially the one near the area, so it

is better if you would reserve your booking via app that is available in google store and apple. The

application assures the user the cubicles available and you could choose what time you will be

occupying the area. In that way, it would be less hassle for the customer and the business as well.
