Associated Learning Standard(s): The resource may be generally applicable, if so, simply state that. List any ISTE-S standards that
seem to naturally align with the selected resource.

The ISTE-S standards that align with this resource are Empowered Learner, Digital Citizen, Innovative Designer, Computational
Thinker, Creative Communicator, and Global Collaborator. This resource aligns with 6 out of the 7 and to the fullest advantage
due to Weebly’s fun ways to let a creator create a website that differs from others. Weebly allows students to become innovative
designers by creating a website and explore the tools provided that enables students to display what they want and in creative
ways. As an empowered learner students learn how to use this website to its full advantage when building their website. They
also learn as they navigate through their classmates websites when sharing cite names. Students are digital citizens and global
collaborators after using this website because they get to explore cites, share ideas, and learn all on one cite that allows them to
collaborate.

RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.

Weebly is a website accessible to anyone with wifi. Students pick an available username as the beginning of their website. On
Weebly students create their own cite with pages where one can post blogs, links to videos, buttons with files and their previews,
and even audio clips while creatively demonstrating their learning.

INTEGRATION IDEA - PORTFOLIOS

How might you use this resource in a lesson plan to promote student-centered learning?

This is a great resource to use in the classroom as students present their work and increase a desire for the content by
demonstrating what they know in a creative way. I see myself using this throughout the year, having a model one I created,
followed by in the progressing weeks the time for students to explore Weebly and have chances to get creative while learning at
the same time. Weebly is also a great place to keep assignments electronically therefore being one of the greatest student
portfolio websites. Finally Weebly is accessible anywhere there is wifi. Students can share their websites anywhere giving more of
an open window for time to customize their assignments yet having everything a teacher wants to see included in their website.
Weebly makes it easy for anyone to see what the creator of the cite is trying to convey as well as give the creative freedom to do
it.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
 Based on the “value-added rating scale” above, how would you rate the technology integration you described, using the
selected resource?
 Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.

I would value a three due to its many ways of allowing students to be creative, learn and explore, create, and enhance their
learning experience. The lesson is transformed with Weebly by using the cite to have all of the student’s work and progress
documented while letting the students not have it feel like a portfolio but as a fun academic profile. It is student centered as they
have creative control and control of what the viewer sees as they click through their cite. Finally it aligns with the ISTE-S standards
and can drive a student to meet state and content standards as Weebly is versatile to any topic or subject.
