Warhammer 41st millenium: Only War – changes and ideas

Facing – must have facing of 90 degrees to shoot (same as 2nd edition), but may pivot freely at any
time BEFORE the unit shoots (can pivot in the movement or shooting phase if you wish to double
check that you are able to shoot your intended target).

Parry – models armed with 2 close combat weapons (includes power weapons and double lightning
claws but does not include power fists or chainfists or pistols used in close combat for an additional
attack) get a 6+ invulnerable save in close combat, or add +1 to their already existing invulnerable
save (?).

Expendable – friendly units can fire into close combat against enemy units that are engaged solely
with friendly expendable units. For every model hit, roll a d6. On a 1-3, an enemy model is hit, on a
4-6 a friendly expendable model is hit. Template weapons are resolved normally and hit any model
covered by the template (you are free to cover friendly expendable models). Weapons may also be
fired at unengaged expendable units (this may be useful e.g. for a World Eaters player to gain Blood
Tithe points by killing a weak unit of their own). (?) (May also be able to charge your own units?)

Flyers – count as fast skimmers that can only be assaulted by jump/jet infantry (flying monstrous
creatures?)
