NOTICE

Subject: Summer Course – 2018 in CE1000, CE1500, CS1000, CS102, CY1101, EC1000, EC201,
EC202, EE1000, MA1001, MA1002, MA201, MA202, PH1001, PH1002, LS1001

A STUDENT WILL ORDINARILY NOT BE ALLOWED TO REGISTER FOR MORE THAN


12 CREDITS (COURSES COVERING ALL PREVIOUS SEMESTERS) IN SUMMER
INCLUDING SUPPLEMENTARY, SUMMER COURSE, PROJECT & SIRE. A STUDENT CAN
REGISTER FOR MAXIMUM THREE COURSES.

Note:-
1. There will be Supplementary Examination for final year students irrespective of the
numbers of failures in the subject.

2. Students with ‘UR’ or ‘X’ grades will not be permitted for Summer course.

3. Student opting for Research Project in Summer have to register online in the portal.

4. It is to be noted that in all the above cases, poor summer attendance may lead to grade
back or debarring as per attachment over and above the grade back as per Table – 1.

Note:

Duration of Summer Course: 7th May to 30th June 2018 (Approximately six weeks)
Maximum number of classes to be held in a subject: 36

Evaluation: The evaluation process will be same as that of a normal semester having usual
components of Mid-semester examination, Teachers Assessment and End-Semester examination.
Registration for Summer Course:

Students eligible as per Table-1 are required to attend the summer course compulsorily and
there will not be supplementary examination for those courses during last week of June – 2018.
The Students are required to register for the course (s) during May 03-04, 2018 in the
Registration Module through the link https://eapplication.nitrkl.ac.in/nitris/Login.aspx and submit
the print out signed in the Academic Office, through the department on the same day. If the no.
of registered students for a course will be less than 10, Institute may not offer Summer
course in that subject. A student can register for maximum three summer courses.

Student can check their TA + mid- semester marks in any of the above mentioned courses
taught in the current semester (Spring 2018) with the concerned faculty member / department
and accordingly submit their registration forms.

A student can register in maximum 12 credits (including Summer + Supplementary + SIRE +


Project courses) for Supplementary Examination (to be registered during May 28 to May 31,
2018) where the no. of Summer courses to be permitted is maximum 3 .

Payment of Summer Course Registration fee:

The course fee is Rs. 2000 /- per course for summer courses. The students need to pay the fees
only under the Summer Registration Fee only and not in Miscellaneous fee. The Students will
pay the fee online during May 25-31, 2018 positively for which the payment procedure will be
intimated later. Students wanting to deregister any course, registered for summer, due to any
reason need to deregister online, failing which it would be assumed that he/she has registered
for the course where the fees for the summer course will be payable.

The time table for the courses will be notified in due time.

This issues with the approval of the competent authority.
