Description:
As the Technical Lead for DevOps team, the candidate will be responsible leading all technical aspects of
the team which manages andmaintains a scalable, fault-tolerant, high performance distributed
infrastructure.
At ZAPR, we’re talking incredible scale which means churning TBs of new organic data daily of over
40M+ users. They would closely monitor, track and diagnosesystem health and performance using
variety of tools and diagnostics.The candidate should be able to plan for, create and maintain
infrastructure required forthe deployment of the software stack. The candidate should also design a
workflow tosupport continuous development, integration and deployment. Finally, the candidate
should also create systems to keep track of various metrics (hardware, software) and proactively
manage the hardware to avoid issues before they occur.

Location: Bangalore

Background:

The candidate should have a degree in Computer Science or IT, with significant prior
experience handling scalable systems and architecture along with strong
troubleshooting skills.
The candidate should be familiar with management of infrastructure (preferably on
cloud) and processes to ensure best practices with respect to release engineering,
monitoring, security, deployment, configuration management etc as well as tools used
for this purpose such as puppet, chef, ansible, docker, git, Jenkins etc. The candidate
needs to be familiar and have good experience in all of the above aspects of the role.

Qualification / Skill / Experience Requirement for the Role :

• At least 6 years of prior DevOps experience.

• Experience of managing and handling a team is a plus.
• Experience in cloud environments such as AWS
• Designing the overall Virtual Private Cloud VPC environment including server instances, storage
instances, subnets, availability zones, etc
• Designing the High Availability / Disaster Recovery strategies
• Ability to maintain, monitor and optimize production database servers
 • Deep understanding of networking and system issues and ability to debug issues on large
clusters.
• Handling of SSL and scalability issues.
• Develop software and processes for better utilization of cloud resources
